No Allan Houston? I think he's better than Reggie, Steve, Shandon, and Cuttino. Shandon has better D, but on O, Houston tops all of them at this point in their careers.

Yeah- Houston should definitely be added. And also, Miller and Smith should be lowered a lot, especially Smith. Smith can't even touch the four guys below him. In fact, I think that Cuttino is also better than he is.

don't you have to shoot to be a shooting guard........................

    That rules out Shandon

Eddie Jones may not be the best SG, but he is definately in the top 10, and arguably in the top 5. Also, as much as I love Cat and Shandon, they are not even at the same level as Ray Allen or Allan Houston.

Steve Smith is still a very good player, but it would be unfair to put him at 4th, ahead of a countless other super off-guards.

How can you forget Ray Allen. Although Sprewell has an all-around game, I think Allan Houston is the ideal shooting guard.

I dont think hardaway or smith belong on that list. allen, jones, and houston do.

Are you saying Shandon should be left on the list? If there was a Penny Hardaway for Shandon Anderson deal on the table, you wouldn't pull the trigger?!?!? I would trade him for most anybody on this list - Paul Pierce, Mike Dickerson, most all of them. I'd also trade him for Larry Hughes or Bonzi Wells. These guys are only now getting the time to blossom.

What position would you classify Penny as???
Whatever it is, if he can continue to play as he did throughout the playoffs (which is how he played before all his injuries), then he will once again be a dominant force. For a guy I had pegged as a whiner for quite some time, Penny had an impresive season if you ask me. He held together a Suns team that lost 2/5 of its starting lineup to injury.

oh not at all oak-dawg. I think penny is better then both shandon and cuttino. But i would certainly take houston, jones, or even allen over him.
penny has plenty of talent, but his attitude in orlando still left a bad taste in my mouth.
Also, didnt cuttino and shandon light up penny a couple times ? im not sayin they are as good as penny, but they certainly didnt embarass themselves.

    I have to say...

Ray Allen needs to be in the list...Allan Houston, Eddie Jones should never have been left off. Sprewell plays the 3 spot for the most part right?

This topic has grown tiresome anyway. So many shooting guards, so little time.
