Kinda off-topic but I'd still pay good money to see SamFisher vs DaDakota to throw down in a octagon or a ring. If thats too violent, I can settle for a live debate.
Faggins has played for more games tahn any non-kicker/punter Texan ever, you got to give him that. Schaub is obviously better than Carr, just an argument can be made that since Carr has the career stats in a Texans uniform..... On the DL, it's too bad there's no Gary Walker or Seth Payne around these days . . . the Texans alltime defense is at least playoffquality, no matter who fills the empty slots.
according to pro football reference, Faggins has 82 games for the Texans, second only to Brown who has played all 112 of their existence. Pitts has 68. edit: pro football reference has it wrong on their team page, never mind. Pitts has 112 on his individual page, you are right.
That's not true. Chester has started every game for the Texans since 2002. Spanning 7 years, that's 112 just like Brown. His bio: http://www.houstontexans.com/team/player.asp?player_id=56
I can't believe I'm going to say this, but if carr had actually put time into studying defenses he might have been good. He went from a confident guy who would air it out in 2004 to checking down to the rb for a one yard pass in 2005. Carr makes a great case study. I would be curious to see what a confident 2004 carr could do with the current cast. The bootleg might actually work!
Schaub hasn't taken half the # of hits in his career that Carr took in his rookie season and he has yet to play a full season for us. Carr belongs on that list simply because he was the sacrificial lamb untill we could get a decent OL.
Good luck with that list, you may need another 10 years to fill that roster. The only viable Texans to be on the list are AJ, Mario, Demeco, & maybe Dunta. Steve in a couple years if he keeps healthy, but as far as the rest of the team, pffffttttt.
Taking sacks because you have no pocket intelligence gets you on an all-time roster? People. David Carr sucks.
Very good point! Your all-time team should be the best at every position, not the longest-serving, right? For example, if you were talking all-time Rockets team, I think Barkley and Drexler would have to get consideration, even though they were only each here a few years compared to many other players in the mix.
I keep clicking on this thread hoping to not see David Carr as the starting QB. Seriously, that needs to change. The only players that should make the team that arent currently on it should be players like Aaron Glenn, Gary Walker, Seth Payne...
Depends on the coaching staff and who the offensive line is. If these years under Kubiak have proven anything, most of the Texans problems started at the top with bad personnel decisions and some subpar coaching of said talent.
There aren't enough players to fill out a Texan's All Star team. After Andre Johnson, D. Ryans, S. Slaton, who?
