Purchased a Macbook pro 13" with 4gb ram and iWork 09, also 16gb ipod touch with the wireless hp printer!!
My Dell XPS broke down last week, though I still have ~70 days of extended warranty. I'm considering making the jump too, either to 13 or 15 inch Pro.
If you want mobility, get the 13". I have the 13"... I've have tried out the 15".. it's not too mobile, bigger screen.. but eh.. if you're not going to edit video or edit images with high resolutions, there's no point in paying for a 15". That's why I settled with the 13".
Give me a couple of days so I can break into the OS. So far the way that the keypad is able to recognize 2,3, and 4 finger motion is so freaking impressive, but will need time to adjust. I was going to take 2 of my other pc laptops over to the apple store, so they can transfer my photos and music to the macbook, but since I did not purchase he one on one, they told me that I was not going to get that service.
You could have had an equally good PC capable of running OS X via Hackintosh for about $450 less than what you spent on a MBP.

I just applied to an apple store here in San Antonio, TX. I was wondering if you could help me out with some questions. I wanted to know if it is hard getting a job at the retail stores if the only experience with apples I have are with the ipods? Also wanted to know the pay rate for someone that works at the apple store as a manager. Would greatly appreciate it. Thanks
As a new college student, I am seriously tempted to take this offer (discounted price, free itouch, free printer) and try a mac for the first time. do the macbook pros come with built-in cameras and microphones? i'd like to be able to video chat with relatives around the world still, like I do with my PC.
On your PC, import all of your music into iTunes and then back it up to DVD(s). On the Mac, take the DVD(s) and restore them into iTunes. On your PC, save all your photos to DVD and then import them into iPhoto on the MAC.
Can you not use an external USB hard drive. I was going to purchase a MBP today and planned to use one of my external USB hard drives to transfer all data from PC to Mac. Is this not possible?
Well.. let me give you an example... I had my new MacBook Pro on a wooden counter top, and I accidentally banged it down on the counter top... it shed some of the counter top's wood off and didn't make any scratches, damage, etc. to the MacBook. In fact, I couldn't even find the area where the MacBook shed the counter top.... it's pretty amazing how durable it really is.
A question for the Apple experts. Will apple being doing a similar promotion after this current free Ipod touch thing runs out? I ask because I know that new Ipod is coming out. If I am going to purchase a macbook pro anyways, should I wait for a new promotion, or should I go ahead and get a (soon to be) last gen Ipod and sell it? Thank you.
