Looks like a collision between Snoop Dogg and James White. Just what the Rockets needed, another tall and lanky center to get manhandled by the Dwight Howards and Al Jeffersons of the league.
He was probably just signed to see how our smallish PF's have improved their play on big centers. He's just a practice dummy. If he turns out to be something it's only a bonus.
I bet they're going to fly him up here in the next few days. When he arrives, everyone's gonna crowd around him, and be all like "Dam!!!". And Ramos is going to be all "lolwut?" Not sure what happens after that, though.
disgusting offseason...i was hoping for decent additions or acquisitions out there aside from Ariza and andersen...now, Ramos?
Because he is a scrub. Only thing he would be good for is for being a practice dummy for everyone else. When there are no highlight reels on YouTube for a specific player, than means he sucks.
i dont know if anyone mentioned it but friedman said he wasnt signed. But keep in mind no one has him on their roster.
I don't understand why Sportscenter would be reporting this, and 24 hours later there's no comment from any of the local media on it. I think its a mistake, but we'll know soon enough.
I was watching it live. The SC anchor mentioned it as he was showing the top 10. One of the plays was an international big man dunking, and PJ Ramos was on the wrong end of the throw down. The anchor said something along the lines of, "And by the way, that's Peter Ramos who was dunked on. The Rockets recently signed him to replace Yao."
