Sessions stuck in FA limbo 3:40 PM ET Ramon Sessions | Bucks Top Email Bucks PG Ramon Sessions is one of the many point guards in this hand-check-free era who can break down a defense at will. What he hasn't been able to do is get a team to break open the bank for him. Charles F. Gardner of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel blogged today that Sessions, a restricted free agent, may need to accept the Bucks' qualifying offer after suitors such as the Knicks and Clippers have backed off. "Despite countless discussions of his situation, Sessions finds himself where he started in late June," Gardner writes. "The only offer he has is the $1 million qualifying offer tendered by the Bucks in late June. "And it appears Sessions may have to return to the Bucks at this discounted price, given the economic situation facing NBA teams." Maybe a little more relevant information here folks
4:18 [Comment From Zeeshan ] To put to rest some some ongoing speculation, are the Rockets remaining active in free agency or are they officially done in that department? 4:19 free agent-wise, the Rockets are done. They don't really have any more money to spend given that they're already right up against the tax line. Could still see some sort of trade, though. ________ And there you have it. Only way Sessions is coming over here is via sign and trade, and that isn't very likely.
What makes you think Minny does want to move Rubio? The Spurs waited two years on Duncan, so can the Wolves.
I'm pretty sure the Rockets are done as far as going after major acquisitions go. Right now, they are just trying to get a competitive team into camp and hopefully further, but I doubt we will dropping major money on a player this season, when we don't even know if we will have Yao, Scola and a few other key contributors in the next season.
Why overpay for a non elite point guard when you have everything to gain by allowing Brooks to start, so he can pad his stats and increase his trade value?
Landry and something else? So you can sign Ramon freakin' Sessions for the full mid level (essentially what we gave TA)????? Are you nuts? Everything you said about being a pure pg, we already have that in Lowry. As far as scoring ability goes, you'd be insane if you think someone the Bucks are only offering 1 mill to is better than AB who had several double digit outings against the Lakers. I looked at his final season in Milwaukee and he only had 12.4 ppts per game on .445 % and around 5 assists. Doesn't really scream superstar to me, considering this is only his second professional season there's a chance he might just be a flash in the pan and fade out. More importantly he can't shoot 3's! His 3 pt FG% is horrendous, and it isn't really part of his game. What makes you so sure he will instantly be an upgrade, and that the full mid level is value for a talent like him when his current stats don't justify the mid level and he is severely defficient in 3 pt shooting, something that is vital to our point guard position?
Sessions is such a wild card. Half of the season he's dominant, the other half he's pedestrian. That's probably the reason a player of his age is still available. All the same, he's definitely worth a shot at the right place. I wouldn't give up Landry + Lowry to get him, though.
New poll: Is Ricky Rubio an immature glory hog, or is he just practicing good business? A. He is just looking out for himself, and that is okay. B. I don't care to see a prima donna like him in the NBA this season anyways. I've always been surprised at the (seeming) results of this question in Rubio threads.
Rubio is dumb for not playing in the NBA. I think it is best for him to sign with the Wolves instead of staying over seas. 2nd, I think Morey is done with the offseason and I truly believes that we are going into the season with this roster. I would love to get session but there is absolutely no chance we can land him. Trevor Ariza is probably the best thing that is going to happen to this Rockets team this offseason

Deficiency in 3pt shooting isn't as worrisome for point guards as a deficiency in passing. If 3pt shooting was the most important skill for PGs, Luther Head would be a good PG. There are good PGs without good 3pt shooting and great passing, but there are no good PGs without great 3pt shooting and poor passing. Just because they don't favor 3pt shooting, doesn't make them bad. They span the spectrum from promising young rookies to an All-Star PG. Derrick Rose, Andre Miller, Devin Harris, Russell Westbrook, Rajon Rondo and Tony Parker aren't great 3pt shooters, but they are still good PGs.
