Yeah, if that were my kid, I would've made a bee line over to the sporting goods section, grabbed a baseball bat, and gone upside that stupid old white trash hillbilly's meth-infected head.

Are you serious? You do not hit old men who attack your children? In these kind of threads you can always tell who has children and who doesn't. The dude was 60 years old. It is not like he was a crippled little 90 year old who can barely make it around the store. Any asswhippings he would have gotten would have been well deserved and completely justafiable.

That old man would have been walking funny with a can of tomatoes stuck in his skull.

I guarantee that if one of our kids is crying in public, no one suffers more than my wife and I fretting over trying to get them to quiet down.

Unfortunately, with an infant/toddler, your control over the situation is limited, even if they're not hungry, sick, and/or it's nap time. (which is exactly why you'll never see us at the store near nap time)

Seriously, though, this guy is a piece of work.

Well if the beating of your child was justified, then nah I'd take the hands off approach. I'd probably give him a handshake even.

My two year old will cry in a store if she's extremely tired or hurt herself. But generally the problem is her undoing the seatbelt, climbing out of the cart and making a dash for the next aisle. Quietly, so I can't figure out which way to head her off.
If the problem had been that the child needed to be disciplined, most parents would have attempted to do that on their own and don't need strangers to interfere. But to be honest, as a parent you are limited in public places because even a parent can be arrested for child abuse for hitting their own child. If not arrested, someone is going to harrass them about how no child should ever be hit, etc.

I don't have a kid, but if that mofo had slapped my puppy for barking I would have killed his ass.

That is one angry old man. May want to keep your cats away from him as well(unless they are equipped with lasers). lol. How can any old fool think it is okay to hit another person's child? He must be senile or something. Maybe he could have just steered clear of her for a little bit and shopped elsewhere? Then, came back if the kid was annoying him. Ever think of that? Idiot.

I have no idea what the point of your post is. I assume it was just something to try to incite an argument by trying to be a Jackace. You would be sleeping next to him, though if you encouraged or applauded his efforts after he hit my child or some womens child in the store who could not protect her child herself. I suppose their is always one like you in the bunch.

Well, from the comments I've seen from you lately, I can also conclude that your parents had failed in raising you.

Do I go slap you or your mom?

Look, the only thing I'd be more mad about is not properly beating my child myself.
