A few weeks ago I was in a car accident that was not my fault. I got a police officer on the scene and, to my surprise, found out they don't to accident reports anymore. He just made sure we both had good insurance and gave us "Blue Forms" to fill out to report the accident.

Subsequently the other party's insurance accepted liability and completely paid for the damage and a rental car and I have my car back.

My question is: What reason do I have to fill out and send in that Blue Form? I really don't want to do it and I'm not worried about getting money from the other person so is there any good reason for me to fill it out?

Not much reason really. It sounds like everything was taken care of. Perhaps its for people that are not that honest/respectable.
