I disagreed with Senator Kennedy on a good many things. That being said, he served our nation for most of his adult life. It has not sunk in yet. RIP to a valued member of the Senate
feet of clay, big dreams, and ultimately trying to do something good for his fellow humans. One could do worse for a life. RIP.
Kennedy had been working for it in the Senate since 1969, something many may not have known. The child of privilege and, at times, of questionable character, Ted had to have been haunted with guilt. Guilt over losing his three older brothers to tragic deaths. Guilt over what happened that night to Ms. Kopechne. Guilt that he was unable to reach the White House, something I think he felt he owed to his brothers. Instead of succombing to it, Kennedy worked to become a success in the Senate, and there he seemed to find his true calling. Joe, Jack, and Bobby, he was not, but he was Edward Kennedy and that was good enough.
If there is such a thing as heaven, Mr Kennedy is surely walking though the gates this morning. Rest in Peace Mr Kennedy
This is truly Sad. I think his sister passed not too long ago. This has to be hard on the Family. Rest in Peace Rocket River
He was one of the greatest of all time. I think both health care reform and the Consumer Financial Protection Agency would be a lot farther along if the pre May, 2008 Teddy Kennedy had been involved. RIP
