Guys, Do you all have a plumber you all recommend for SW Houston/Meyerland area. Just need to get the tub drain snaked.
I cant help you out, but your problem reminds me of one I have myself: In my bathtub, the water drains for awhile and the drain plug, goes in and stops it from draining. I have to do this like 6 times to get all the water out of the tub. I tried twisting and turning the dang thing, but it still dont make a bit of difference. Any ideas?
Had a similar issue, get it snaked.. then get some drain-o orsomething similar to it and apply a capful every week or whatever they recomend.
I recently had a problem with my washing machine drain and I bought an attachment from Harbor Freight that hooks up to a Wet/Dry Vac that sucks out the clog. It helped on my clog which was pretty far down the pipe (though I think that it just loosened it up enough to work), so I think that it might work with a clog that is really close. With the vac and the attachment, it was less than $40 and it saved paying a plumber to come out. I had also tried a 25' snake and it didn't work for me.
It is the same old problem we have every 2-3 years. massive hair clog int he drain. It looks like a small animal comes out. The price I pay for having a lovely wife with lovely hair. I called AA Auger. they are pretty cheap.
I am haveing a A/C drain line problem as we speak. My drain line is clogged and water is over-spilling down the wall and under my carpet. It sucks. Well i removed the pvc from the coils to the bigger pvc drian. It is in the big drain pvc. you can see water just sitting there. I tried sticking a little snake(I think it was too little), then some other flexy things that I thought might be able to loosen it. I has at least two 90degree elbows. I thought it might be too late for bleach so I put some Drano down the pipe(might have been a mistake). Well that did nothing. I am contemplating now renting one of those hand-held drill snake things. Any ideas???
You guys can just rent one of those Roto Rooter machines at Home Depot.. Saved me 100's of dollars over the years instead of calling someone to come out. The manual Snakes do not work but the electric one works like a charm.
get one of these or the one that you can attach to a drill. It's realatively cheap and you will need to use it every 2-3 years depending on the miss'es hair length. http://www.homedepot.com/webapp/wcs...langId=-1&catalogId=10053&productId=100094697
here's the powered one. attaches to power drill. http://www.capitolsupply.com/Cobra-...ger-Mfg-Part-88150.cs8494853.csi?cid=cse_ggl4
i've never heard of snakes and these other contraptions that everyone else is suggesting. Draino (or however it's spelled) has always worked fine for us.
