You guys gotta laugh this **** off. He's just finding a way to motivate himself and make a good show out of it. We're still in on the joke, no?

Big difference one year makes huh?

Does this mean Adelman and Co. need to start watching out for flying table legs?

Ron Artest is Ron Artest. Wasn't sad when he left and all I can do is laugh at his comments... Lock Down D ehhh? I'm sure Brandon Roy and Kobe who just went right by the guy had problems with his "Lock down D". HAHAHAHA We already knew he wasn't going to put much effort to offence... heck we already knew he sucks at that. So I seriously don't see what he's trying to say? Heck no other team was really throwing him a giant contract so the fact he got a contract OFFER from either L.A. or Houston should make him a happy man. I had a feeling the guy was going to throw a Spreewell comment at us this offseason. Artest needed to feed his children? Was that the problem? What a JOKE!

That would be the best defense the team could hope for. :D

Yeah, both of them using a pick and roll all game long...

Not impressed really. Broy killed Ron and Yao, in the pick and roll.

Wow! Ron Artest is a sore loser, its a wonder why he has never won a championship. NBA is a business, it must have made sense for the Rockets to let him go as a free agent instead of a sign and trade deal with the Lakers. It just shows the lack of maturity of Ron Artest; I hope he messes up the Lakers chances of winning a title. I'll be curious to see how Artest handles adversity in Laker land. I can see why the Morey and the Rockets did not give him a 3 to 5 year deal, looking like the right decision at this point. I would rather build for the future then have that nonsense on the team. Way to go Rockets management!

Ron Artest lost several steps in terms of guarding quicker guards.
He should stick to SF and lighter PFs.

I am so glad the Rockets didn't re-sign this guy, and I have a very strong hunch that Crazy Pills is going to give me even more reasons to be happy that he's gone.

well, kobe got by artest AT WILL. every single time artest was on him, kobe drives by him with ease.

for comparison, the few times hedo was on kobe, kobe couldn't drive by him at all in the finals.

ron just lost some of that lateral quickness to guard the elite scorers now. pick and roll has been part of the game for a long time and ron was THE BEST defender for a good stretch before.

There were good times, there were bad times. I thought the most interesting part of his message was:

"Houston did me dirty. I can't wait til next year when we go to Houston. I'm not shooting. All defense. Somebody getting locked da f**k up."

That's the best thing he can do for his team. That's more than the all defense statement. But hey, good for Artest. Hope he gets his, just not at the expense of The Rockets.
