Mental illnesses frequently appear for the first time in people in their early 20's. Hopefully his illness is not serious but mental illness can be just as debilitating as a serious knee injury. Good luck to him.
I think some people are mistaken in believing people on drugs will suddenly be ok once they get off of them. People who become addicts almost always have issues that lead them to be drug abusers. Drugs are not so much the problem but more of a symptom of a deeper issue. Of course getting clean should be priority number 1A but priority 1B is finding and solving the issue that lead him to start abusing. If you can't understand how a young, rich guy who has everything in the world going for him can become depressed or addicted to drugs then consider yourself lucky.
A drug addict in professional sport. Um....what ever happened to drug testing? I know drugs like coke are used a lot because they get out of your system quickly, but seriously, when a top players is checking into rehab the NBA has to look at its testing program.
He had that pic of bud on his twitter page. Anybody here ever seen Half Baked, the scene where Chappelle went to rehab for weed. OMG I can soooo picture that happening to Supercool Beas.
For sure. I've never smoked weed, but know a lot of people that have and no matter what they say, it makes u lose focus and lazy. I hope he gets his life together as a man if nothing else. A guy that went to different high schools like that was never coached just as he was never coached in college just managed. 20 yr olds do stupid things and he's just a well paid 20 yr old. I'm hoping he gets in front of the problem and becomes a testimony vs a cautionary tale.
the yahoo headline says "Trying time for hoops star" uhh what? He was big in college, but he hasn't done much yet in the L.
