Pretty funny......watch the ones for the naga of the trinidad scorpian. makes me want to buy some seeds from that guy.
I just realize my family has been using Sriracha for years because of this thread. The Sriracha sauce is always there for me, I never care enough to remember the name. When I see so many people here voted for Sriracha, I was thinking maybe I'll go try some Sriracha next time. Even after I saw the pic emjohn posted. I still didn't realize that IS Sriracha. I just thought this dude use the same hot sauce I use at home. And then when I read Franchise's post on page 3 I was like WAIT A MIN.... That rooster hot sauce is Sriracha!
lol. I've seen that video. You should see the video of the woman in India that ate 50-60 of the bhut jolokia (world's hottest pepper) and then rubbed them in her eyes - she's immune to the heat.
If you want "pure" bhut jolokia seeds, contact the New Mexico State Chile Pepper Institute. They have pure ones (no telling what you're getting from anywhere else) : http://www.chilepepperinstitute.org/ If you want actual plants shipped, I bought some from these guys : http://www.wrightgardens.com/ They can be hard as hell to grow, though. I have a couple of bhut jolokia plants I just bought that I'm trying to grow after failing to germinate seeds. I have some more seeds from another source that I may try later. Bhut Jolokias are insanely hot. Trinidad scorpions are 7-pots are along the same heat level, but I don't think anything's hotter than a pure non-hybridized bhut jolokia. BTW, the guy in that video eats hot sauce by the spoonful, and I'm not talking about the sissy sauces, so to see what a naga/bhut can do to him is indicative of how hot that pepper is.
Just bought a bottle of this over the weekend. I must say that this is now my new favorite hot sauce. It blows Louisiana out the water. Thanks!
I can't think of any food where I would think about putting either sauce on equally. Sriracha is for asian cuisine Louisiana is for cajun cuisine.
Sorry to bump this after two months but who says? Everything I put Louisiana on before I happily put Sriracha on now except my eggs.
Bumping this old ass thread.. has anyone had the Ghost Pepper Sauce from Sammy's Wild Game Grill? ooweeeee
Way to just lump all possible combinations into one choice of "chutney". Just like how some would lump three quarters of the world's population into "Asians". We get no respect I tells ya... By the way, my vote is for http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Raita
Homemade anything is always superior (given its done correctly, of course). But store bought, probably Louisiana or Sriracha, depending on what the food is.
