Really long story but... I have to start fasting around 4:30am everyday. There is a pill I have to take everytime I wake up and I can not go to sleep after taking it. Now, I don't want to be awake from 4:30am onwards. I want to catch a few more precious hours of sleep. Is there any way for me to take this pill exactly at 4:30am (or before) but not have it actually kick in until a few hours later (say around 8:30am)?
Apparently I can't. Not a big deal since I'm probably incapable of doing that anyway lol. Not so simple unfortunately. I'd rather actually do it now. Plus if you skip due to illness, you have to make it up ASAP once the illness is gone. In my situation, that means skipping all of ramadan and making up the 30 days later on. I'd hate to have to make it up later on. I'd rather do it now with everyone else, pray in large groups, break the fast in large groups, feel the Ramadan spirit, etc..
Are you prevented from taking pills when fasting or is it something you have to take with food; so your intent is to wake up at 4:30, eat some food with the pill and go back to sleep? Otherwise, I am confused as to why you have to wake up at 4:30 AM to take the pill.
