Could the signing of Pops Mensa-Bonsu means we're going to get Ramon Sessions?

I'm not too happy with the idea of losing Landry. I remember before he got shot he was playing pretty good. Then when he got back he was a little slow. Id only trade him if at the practices he still is looking slow. I know the stats don't agree with me too much but thats what I remember.

 

I do not think they would give Landry without getting of value in return. There maybe a drawback but I know Morey and management know that he trade off will favor the Rockets.

 

You can never rule out a trade, but nearly all trades are predictable unless there is someone with someone in the know close to the front office. Trade rumors make me laugh, although I always get the I wishes. We have Brooks and Lowry, both with tons of potential at cheap prices. Both are playing against the odds and will both be solid NBA point guards. Sessions is good, but certainly not all that much better that what we already have...especially considering price. I am content with Brooks/Lowry combo. Not great, but with the $$$ we save, our replacement Mac is within reach.

 

I am going to guess that we trade landry in September for either Raymond Felton(depending on what happens with AI/Bobcats) or Ramon Sessions (depending on Ramon/Bucks)...

dude, but you forget that there are always some other chinese people hanging around here.

 

The trade off would not be that bad. The only problem is that the team would have a log jam at the point while leaving the front court very shallow. If that trade happens then, it would be likely that one of the pg either Lowry or Brooks get traded for some front court help.

Hindsight, the team could be thinking that Sessions can play the sg.

That he is a young PG with serious ability.

Aggressively running into traps, turnovers and contested lay-ups against taller players doesn't impress me that much either.

 

I dun think we will trade landry

Our offer may be AB + hayes? or AB + Dorsey

there is no point in keeping three prospect in PG..
instead of having AB+Lowry+Session...we'd better get a experienced guard

 

Its fairly apparent somthing is in the works. We just have way too many power forwards to justify signing another one. Unless Pops is supposed to be a one year backup center to Anderson, there is really no reason to sign him. I have to hand it to Morey, this guy is always on the prowl.

As for Sessions, I think his potential is about equal to Brooks, so if he can be had for cheap, he is a great asset to pick up. He is better than Lowry and arguably has more upside than Landry, who is likely to be moved if a trade goes down.

 

If we either waive cook or white/or Barry retires we can have any where from 14-16 deep in that case trade Brooks,Landry,Battier and Hayes for Stat (Amare) and Nash or simply battier and Landry for Stoudamire

 

Maybe we're trading Dorsey to Memphis? Just seems Dorsey and Pops are too similar to have both on the team ... perhaps for future 2nd round pick or cash?

 

I would rather Brooks/Lowry than Felton/Sessions.

I don't see how Dorsey could even command a 2nd round pick and cash. To me, he has negative value.

Teams aren't going to want this guy - he has done NADA at NBA level.

 

Maybe trade value to Memphis only ...
