Outstanding! I wish it had been happening last week, when I was in Houston. My wife and I love going to galleries and sometimes buy works that we fall in love with and can afford. We spent a large chunk of a day going to galleries in the W. Alabama/Richmond-S. Shepard area and Upper Kirby (I think that's what it's called... a big concentration of galleries), until we exhausted our 13 year old daughter, who is actually interested! Anyway, you must be very proud. Congratulations.

You perhaps may think I am uncivilized Hmm, but I actually do have quite a taste for Art and I am very good at liking it. You should come to this gallery and I will discuss Baroque period art in a most pompous English accent.
Yeah, I'll have to remember about art openings the next time a Cheap Date Idea thread comes up. Great way to impress a date, get them liquored up, and not spend a dime.
