    Sometimes I swear Achebe is reading from Dennis Millers' compendium of nonsense "1001 Ways to Makes Others Laughs Because They Don't Want to Look Stupid," or the sequel, "1001 Ways to Go Over Everyone's Head by Using Nonsensical Anecdotal Humor."

    You aren't getting away with this. What the hell is a Phil Collins island?

    The Phil Collins island is the thing I fear most in this life (no offense Crisco).

    It's when that Iceberg at the front of your head starts to calve off.

    If my iceberg is going to calve, then calve!!! Don't hang around like the mainland needs you sticking around or something.

    ps here's a sketch of Crisco from the superior, anterior is left

    :: ))))----o--

    (The island isn't always associated w/ a rattail, but Crisco lives in South Texas)

    Just let it grow. I've had one since around 1966. Sometimes, I've let what beard I have grown in with it, but always go back to the chin whiskers, eventually. These days, I have the "stubble" thing going, except on for the goatee. That way, the white whiskers don't show up so much and I can just use a beard trimmer, instead of doing so much shaving with a razor.

    If you have a buzz at 8:30 on a Thursday morning, you need to be hall monitored.

    Great advice, Deckard - too bad that Houstone can't take this advice since he hasn't posted in ages unless, of course, he's on here under a different handle.

    No, that's how you grow a goatse. That's not the same as a goatee.

    I don't know about all that. I'm Indian and couldn't grow a full goatee until around age 25... up to then the sides of the goatee never grew win - so i looked like Johnny Drama.

    Even now - I can't grow a proper mustache - it looks like whiskers... and I have no hair at all in the dimple right above the center of my lip...

    But after 10 years of either a full goatee or the johnny drama or just a chin strap - I've now started to go with just the stubble all around the face (electric shave once every 3-4 days).

    Truth. I'm Pakistani/Punjabi and can grow a beard in 24 hours. Shaving sucks.
