Let's see here.. Jason Terry was the 3RD leading scorer in the 2003 NBA Season. Behind Shareef Abdur-Rahim and Glen Robinson. So what has he proven here? He's not the best scorer on his team? 2002 NBA Season - Jason Terry was the 2nd leading scorer behind Shareef Abdur-Rahim, So far he's not even the scoring champion on his team . 2001 NBA season - He's tied at 1st for the scoring title for his team with Toni Kukoc with 19.7 PPG. So really, I don't get it. What has Terry proven? Sure, but it's still a nice accomplishment to take a team to the Big Stage without any All-Star players. Only 3 NBA players have managed to win an NBA Championship without an All-Star. Hakeem Olajuwon, Tim Duncan and Rick Barry. That's pretty damn good class.
Personally, I don't think how T-Mac does even matters. Short of him becoming the Orlando T-Mac, what can he help us accomplish? 8th seed and another 1st round exit? Is that really any better than being in the bottom 10 in the standings? The thing about T-Mac is that because of his FA status, he can't help us recruit any FA. So even if the team does well, we can't attract FA further because T-Mac will be leaving anyway. And resigning him is a huge risk given his and Yao's injury histories. In the end, short of sending him away in a trade for a young stud, how well he performs next season will not help us in the grand scheme of things.
He shows a lot of progress on his new website skilzlab (no plug intended). He averaged 16 w a bum knee w a healthy one well see tmac not tracy. Ya see Tracy is what his drivers license says but when that man transcends in to the court and plays his ass off scoring 32 in a season he's tmac and this year folks we should trust the man to deliver. If you look at it tmac could give Houston a 3rd banner up in the Toyota center, we have the same team as last year minus Yao sure Ron is gone but hey he was inconsistent, and did Nyone notice his decisions? Terrible, now we got ariza who's shown Ron artest-esque defense of when Ron had fresh legs and was younger, but enough if ariza if we see Orlando Tracy in houston we can see a another banner, he's the team captain has shown leadership and heart and he can straight up own the court. (note: when I meant Orlando tracy I meant 32 a game, amazing athlete mcgrady not punt a ball to the crowd, start fights, and demand trade mcgrady)
I still believe in Tracy,no matter what has been said on other websites, still gonna stick up for him. His hard working in Chicago will benefit him for doing so the coming season.Wish him could be back by training camp, that'll greatly help Rockets to prepare. The contract year,if he ain't gonna make it,it's all over,so no question his heart and attitude will not be the same as before.I can't anticipate what's yet to come for him, just pray,no more injuries come at him.
Already been mentioned, they're once-were or to-be All Stars were way better than the Rockets never ever All Stars (Juwan Howard was injured) Steve Nash, Deron Williams, and John Stockton have NEVER averaged 20 PPG in any season...Dont even talk about no championships, those unproven players barely managed to stick in the league.
Because he'll be in Africa helping kids while we are watching the playoffs without the Houston Rockets.
