With the first pick the Rockets select Yao Ming... By list, the Dallas Mavs select Jay Williams with the second pick. The Warriors are on the clock.
The Nuggets GM, dudeeee, can't make it onto the BBS, so I confirm this deal by his request. With the 3rd pick, the Nuggets now select... Mike Dunleavy Jr. The Mavs are again on the clock, and by a list, select ... Nicolaz Tskitishvilli. Now the Warriors are on the clock.
By lists, here are the following selections: With pick 6, the Dallas Mavs select: Drew Gooden, PF, Kansas With pick 7, the NY Knicks select: Chris Wilcox, PF, Maryland dc and the Wizards are on the clock at pick 8...
clippers confirm GS deal Also, LAC trades Lamar Odom, Quentin Richardson, pick 8, for Kwame Brown, Bobby Simmons and pick 11-which is GS property now.
With the 14th pick, the Magic happily select F Jared Jeffries out of Indiana. Simply the best available player out there, the Magic nab another lanky player to play alongside McGrady and Hill. In the East, with three young post players in Jeffries, Stromile Swift, and Steven Hunter, the Magic's post problems are virtually nonexistant. With Jamaal Tinsley, Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Jared Jeffries, and Stromile Swift as our starting 5, the Magic come out of this draft satisfied with all dealings.
With the 21st pick, the Memphis Grizzlies select Tayshaun Prince By list, with the 22nd pick, the Suns select Marcus Haislip.
The Toronto Raptors origanally had hoped that either Jeri Welsch, Frank Rush or Dan Dickau would somehow slip to number 20 but held little hope that either of these three would be available. Dickau has been discribed as the next John Stockton and his natural point guard instincts and fine 3 point shooting should be a perfect match for the High Flying act of Vince Carter. With a starting line up that will look like this: Stockton...I mean Dan Dickau MoPete Vince Carter Antonio Davis Keon Clark The Raptors plan on being back at the top of the NBA's Eastern Conference. Dan Dickau for Rookie of the year!
With pick 23 Detroit takes a sleeper: Ronald Murray, PG, Shaw. His coach says he's better than Jay Williams and he would know. Supposedly destroyed Frank Williams in a workout. Detroit's roster is it's real roster with Murray and Mehmet Okur added (Okur was a second rounder last year that would be a first this year, PF with range and great athleticism was starring in Europe this past year). Also considered Salmons and Sampson.
