Reasoning. There is only 1 ball, and 3 dominant scorers is more than enough. Hence 2 players that is more than willing to move the ball and do the dirty stuff.

Hmm. I'm actually going to make a balanced team rather than 5 scorers.. Lawl.

    Steve Nash
    Tracy McGrady (Prime)
    Shane Battier
    Kevin Garnett
    Hakeem Olajuwon

Steve and Tracy's lack of D will be made up by my spectacular frontcourt D.
Both nash and Tracy can be playmakers and scorers. Nash and Battier can hit the open shot. Battier is my do-it-all guy. Hakeem is just a beast. And KG can get my team all pumped up.

LeWhine doesn't belong among the greats yet. Maybe in the future but so far he doesn't even make my bench. No way he is top 10 all time, much less top 5.

Got to disagree with you there man. Nash is a great player/passer, but he is not in the same level of Magic Johnson. his court vision, passing skills, finnishing ability is by far better than Nash. in the words of Thomas, magic is the only player to ever throw a true no look pass. :D

    my lineup:
    Magic
    Jordan
    Grant Hill
    Garnet
    Hakeem

    sixth man: KB24

    current players

    PG: Chris Paul
    SG: Dwayne Wade
    SF: Kobe Bryant
    PF: Lebron James
    C: Dwight Howard

Lebron is strong enough to guard most 4's so I don't think it would be too much of a problem. He'd be like Rashard Lewis.

    retired

    PG: Magic Johnson
    SG: Michael Jordan
    SF: DR J
    PF: Larry Bird
    C: Hakeem

    Rockets

    PG: Steve Francis
    SG: Clyde Drexler
    SF: Charles Barkley
    PF: Hakeem
    C: Yao

    Slow but dominant down low
