Personally, I like to think of Pryuen as this guy: but instead of some random anime pillow, he has a 7'6" Yao Ming pillow.
Pryuen gave a lot in translations and rockets material that we didn't get before and don't get anymore. He became a diva (divo?) but replies in GARM threads are 90% ****s and giggles anyways.
Based on contributions alone pryuen could have been Kevin Garnett in Minnesota, but amidst all the childish arguments and assumed self-importance, he became Kevin Garnett in Boston...a chest-pounding, overly emotional, drama queen.
I appreciated pryuen's translations, and pictures. He got alot of slack from people maybe it was deserved but he did contribute to the site.. I wish he still posted, maybe we could have more updates on Yao and pics of him rehabbing.
He contributed some unique stuff. More than most. I was down with him. If you wanna cry about someones personality that much take it to the PMS sub-forum. Which I don't know... maybe Pryuen belonged there most of all. Oh well. I just got into his thread, soaked up some info, and got the hell out of there.
I liked his contributions, thought he made the GARM more interesting. That would easily let me overlook whatever other drama there might have been.
You really changed your name !? _____ I thought Pryuen was banned for his YMM nonsense. edit: Just looked over on YMM and he grabs info from Clutchfans [IMO] and posts it there, but can't confirm it because twitter, facebook, etc. are still banned in China.
So he was a great asset and when he started receiving all the accolades he had more haters than ever before?
Pryuen was passionate at what he does, and I appreciate him for that, but the dude has a ego, in his mind he consider himself as the authority when it comes to Yao ..(in a eery stalker way)
People started disliking him because of his sorry attitude, not because of the accolades he got. There was no jealousy involved other than pryuen getting upset whenever someone else dared to post information about Yao. The accolades made his head get too big and perhaps contributed to him turning into a jerk.
Pryuen was the authority when it comes Yao. Now you haters know nothing and just spend your days bashing Yao.
Pruyen does have one hell of an ego. Ex. That wasn't IC2000's thread... it was MY thread. My gf had seen a wheelchair-bound Yao on her flight to Chicago. Pryuen insisted that my gf was mistaken and that it must have been someone else other than Yao. Geez... can't you people remember anything?!? Ok, channeling Pryuen can be kind of fun...
