Ignorance At Its Finest: 2 Girls Try To Convince An Indian Girl She's African

I really hope it's a joke, it's just too sad if it wasn't.

 

I doubt its a joke...look at the two white girls reactions after Sara says stuff...they have genuine looking reactions...i seriously doubt they can pull that off by acting it out.

 

I am pretty sure its a joke. Her accent sounds fake to me. And the ideas are too out there for me to believe.

A lot of Indians dont consider themselves asian. A lot even put indian in the other category of the census. Usually when someone says someone is "asian" they are referring to orientals. Makes sense for indians, middle easterns, etc to not consider themselves "asian".

 

Oriental is a rug, all you had to say to classify the "yellow" Asian is eastern Asians or southeast Asians...

 

The accent is probably Gujarati...

 

Her accent is most definitely not fake...in addition to my class in grad school, there was a class of 80 or so foreign trained dentists that were trying to get licensed to practice in the states. About 70 of them were from India, so I heard that accent on a daily basis. Definitely real.

 

India is in Asia hence = Asian

India,Bangladesh,Pakistan,Sri Lanka according to the United Nations form South Asia the most populated portion of any region in Asia. More than East Asia, more than Southeast Asia and more than West Asia.

However, there is no real unifying culture such as "asian", its an easy way for the Census Bureau to keep track of demographics, Saudi Arabia is in Asia and so is Iran. Middle East is a Eurocentric term because its from a European perspective that lands of West Asia are in the Middle East, and lands of Eastern Asia are in the "far East".

 

Forget the video. There are enough dumb people on this thread alone.

 

Oriental is a legitimate way to classify someone from "The Orient."

Oriental = Eastern Asian.
Occidental = Western Asian.

 

These girls are not fine. I'm not watching.

I think the comment that there are Indians that don't consider themselves Asian is almost as amusing.

In the UK when people speak of an asian person they are usually referring to an Indian or Pakistani person.

 

Obviously you have never been to Europe... where do you think America learned it's ignorance, intolerance and complete lack of manners....

 

Legitimate? Yeah if you're in a Charlie Chan movie, but in terms of describing someone or a place located in Asia it's the far east, or southeast asia.. Am I right on that cowboy...
