    NEW ORLEANS — An African-American man from Mississippi admits posing as a white supremacist to send a death threat across state lines by Facebook.

    The U.S. Attorney's Office says 20-year-old Dyron L. Hart of Poplarville pleaded guilty Wednesday in federal court to making a threat in November 2008.

    Hart admitted creating a name and using a white supremacists' photo to pose as a white man who planned to kill blacks because Barack Obama had been elected president.

    He originally was charged with threatening three black students at Nicholls State — where he had attended one semester — but pleaded guilty Wednesday to one count.

    He sent the threats from a computer in Poplarville.

    The maximum sentence is five years in prison and a $250,000 fine; sentencing is Nov. 18.[/rquoter]

    I'm sure this goes great with bigtexxx's dream of thinking that every r****ded babbling minority-hating Chron.com commenter is really a black guy trying to undermine the GOP from within... but sadly, the exception remains separate from the rule.

    DonnyMost, do have to admit that this story supports what I was saying. I believe this happens more than you think. They have a lot to gain from this type of behavior.

    Haha. I was thinking the same thing. When I first saw the title, I thought it might be an actual white supremacist, so I was quite surprised to see basso as the OP. :D

    Kind of like this woman below (who is white) that falsely claimed a 6'4 black guy carved a "B" into her face because she had a McCain bumper sticker on her car. This happened 10 days before the election. "They" have a lot to gain indeed.

    Did he actually contact the White House/President, or just post the threat on his Facebook page? That guy's gonna have some really awkward job interviews down the road.

    It is an interesting story, but does not prove anything other than one nutjob did something stupid.

    If the authorities uncover many of these incidents from different parts of the country, then it may be a story. At this point, it seems like an isolated incident.

    In other words, don't read into this what is not there.

    The white girl was big news before she admitted beating herself up. It's not hard to guess why a white girl alleging that she had been assaulted by a tall black Obama supporter would get a lot of attention.

    Maybe Glen Beck is in fact a black guy trying the same thing. That would explain his crazyness :D :p

    Just as liberals would not post about this, and wouldn;t have posted about that idiotic girls (which claimed to be attacked by an Obama supporter) if she was indeed attacked.

    Both sides use these board mainly to post about news that shows their side of the story.

    I see no harm in that.
