next year will separate the real fans from the bandwagoners. there could be frustrating times next year, but real fans will be excited about the potential growths of the young players and new direction of the team into a faster team.
Oooooh Yeaaa! 35 pts, 8 assists, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks. Plays 82 games and averages 38 minutes. I have rose from the dead!!! and resurrected! No longer do you refer to me as Tracy or T-mac, just call me "Jesus". I can part the Red Sea, but I can't get out of the 1st round. How dare you not add me to your list! Curse you! Curse you all!!
i say landry because he will get more minutes now and will be able to become more consistent. scola and brooks will continue to produce landry will consistently bring it to a new level this season remember what is overlooked about our team is how hard we play and our defense. i thin we'll have a MUCH better season than most people think.
brooks will lead the team in scoring, but scola will have the better overall season because he will shot a higher percentage, get to the ft line more, and grab more rebounds. i think brooks will struggle a bit the first few months of the season as he has yet to be very consistent, so his sudden increase in minutes will expose some flaws.
I'm going with Brooks. He edges out scola for me because I think it's much harder to devise a defense to stop speed and quickness than an above average low post option.
we're not expected to compete for a championship, so I assume people won't jump off the bridge every time we lose a game. I do suspect the game losses will be blamed on Rick Adelman. Also I suspect the anticipation of Tracy returning as some type of savior will be the dominant recurring topic here... unless Morey busts a move
No disrespect meant to Ariza, I personally think he'll play well this season. But my vote is Luis Scola.
So the general consensus is that Carl Landry has reached his potential? Only 4 people voted for him. I do think this, and that he's great for us as a backup PF, but doubt he can achieve the starter level. I don't see him learning the kind of low post moves that Scola showed us last season. His jumpshot is getting better though.
Sorry for bumping this thread, but it can bring up more discussions. My vote was Trevor Ariza, but I feel Luis Scola is going to have the best season. Luis Scola has just been more proven to be consistent, I don't know about Ariza, I haven't seen what he could do without two star players (Kobe and Gasol) that draw attention. I also haven't seen Scola play without a star (Yao and Manu) either. But I just trust Scola more, because of his post game. I don't know how Ariza will score his points.
Its funny how you included the two rookies but left out Taylor. Why would you classify them as healthy when we don't know if their not injury prone players. You have Trevor Ariza on that list and he gets freakish injuries. The one person I have to go with is the guy who isn't on your list and thats Rick Adelman. He is going to have the best season with working with such an underrated/ low expectation team that people around the league are going to be on his jock strap. As for player Its hard to say considering NO 1 in the NBA really goes hard every game of the season. I would say all of our energy guys are going to have the best season. Aaron Brooks is going to play like A.I until McGrady gets back so maybe its him.
