Dont you see a trend here.....everyone should come out and admit it.... stop letting the government tell the people it is wrong to decide what medication works for you...i give props to sensi-starbury....right on bro...
Yeah, but back in March, half the people in the GARM were crying for Morey to get him in Rockets red.
I've heard this straight from a NBA player. He practically said every player smokes. He even said that some coaches smoke, which surprised the hell out of me.
this coming from a guy who has no manners, if others do so be it, but don't throw other people including players and coached under the bus. this guy is just tryin to stay on everyone's mind and we are letting him.
I don't think the guy who said that was Marbury. The player whom the poster spoke to was not mentioned by name and the statement was probably said to the poster in confidence (which is why the poster did not mention the player) so I don't see where the lack of manners is.
Marbury said he's done with the NBA (sic the NBA is done with him), he can do anything he wants. He earned over 100M on his last contract so he's set for life. I'm not a fan of Marbury but he has done some good for the community. http://www.sportsbusinessnews.com/_news/news_355106.php He has been named to The Sporting News list of “Good Guys in Sports” three times. He was one of the highest donors to the NBA Player Associations Katrina Relief effort, donating 1 million dollars to the effort. He currently has 7 barbers on hire in Coney Island giving free haircuts to neighborhood children. But it’s his Starbury Ones basketball shoes that represent what one day might become Marbury’s lasting legacy to basketball to tens of thousands of children and their families – affordable shoes and basketball apparel and to the community. Last week Footwear News an industry magazine recognized the impact Marbury’s product launch had on the industry by awarding Marbury its “Launch of the Year”. Footwear News who also publishes Women’s Wear Daily awards is thought to be the “Oscars of the shoe industry”. Marbury and his partners retailers Steve & Barry's last week also announced they are donating a free pair of Starbury One high performance basketball sneakers to every varsity high school boys basketball player in New York City. The donation of 3,000 pairs of Starbury Ones is part of a new agreement that makes the Starbury brand a Partner of the Public Schools Athletic League (PSAL). The PSAL directs all athletic competition among the 193 public high schools in the five boroughs. Stephon played in the PSAL while growing up in Coney Island and attending Lincoln High School. As a senior, he averaged more than 28 points and 9 assists per game while leading his team to the 1995 PSAL championship. "The PSAL helped me get to where I am today and I am real excited to be able to supply free sneakers to all of these kids," Marbury said. "I hope it inspires them to become better players, and even more important better men." "We are very proud of Stephon Marbury's accomplishments on and off the court," said Donald Douglas, Executive Director of the PSAL. "Our PSAL basketball players will benefit greatly from Steve & Barry's generous gift of Stephon's Starbury Ones basketball sneaker and we are very appreciative of their support. We look forward to future endeavors that bring Stephon, Steve & Barry's, and the PSAL together for the benefit of our student-athletes."
I mean... Ron Artest is an attention w****, but Masturbury is at a competely diffferent level. He has so completely jumped the shark, it's not even funny any more. Wouldn't be suprised to see him becoming roomates with Kirk Snyder at the mental hospital within the next year or so.
I think he has done more for the community than 99% of NBA. You think Lebron or even Yao ming would be selling 15 dollar shoes. He maybe weird, but I think he has a good heart.
I can attest to that even if sarcasm was detected. My game is normally 100 miles an hour in other words 1 speed , but when playing after blazing I have about 3 different gears (think of a 5 foot 8 Tim Hardaway). My jumper also feels a lot smoother. It's as if I can feel all the laces on the ball, which makes for a lethal combination of 3's, pull up j's, and a lot more stop and go hesitation moves. I played D2 ball (blessed with quickness and and a drive to constantly improve my jumper, not height unfortunatley ) and was blazed for every practice and game. It also felt as if there was no pressure or jitters during a game. Should note that switching to a humidifier decreased the fatigue associated with inhaling actual smoke
