WAY TOO CRAZY! Battier is worth a whole lot more than an empty expiring contract.

I assume this is an attempt at humor. IMO there is a deal already in place to occur as soon as a specific date is reached. Don't know what it is, but our team is too lopsided now. No starter for 2 out of 5 positions on the team doesn't sound like Morey.

I do think it will be a trade and not an FA hiring.

I believe too that a trade is waiting to happen. Morey is just playing the field and assessing for the right deal that would elevate the Rockets to the next level. Patience is a virtue.

I've heard he usually tries to go to third base on the 2nd date, but that was in Boston. He may have slowed down a little for Houston (or sped up?) Any of his former dates posting here?

Battier is worth an expiring contract and a first round pick. I would consider that more than fair, especially because the entire league is heading towards a salary cap reduction.

McGrady should be in the expiring contract list
