Sell now while his stock is high; I believe he has at least as many questionmarks as Ming. Francis, while a human highlight reel at times has numerous tragic flaws. He appears to be a selfish player who is long on flash and short on fundamentals (ball handling, decision-making, etc.). He has chronic health problems (migraines) and may have a serious substance abuse problem (DWI). He has been a "whiner" since day one and is currently whining about Ming. Trade for a true point guard of All Star quality.

Some of you people really suck. I just thank god you don't run the Rockets. Go hate some where else. I hope I don't have to listen (read) to all this b****'n about Steve for the next few years, or will you just stop being Rocket fans.

Would it be possible to trade Francis for a role player, the #8 and the #12?

    We could draft:
    1) Yao Ming
    8) Amare Stoudemire
    12) A solid small forward
    15) Juan Dixon (who Rudy T is impressed with)

He is a keeper. Even the almighty Dream had problems when he was younger. Jordan often pushed his weight around(drafts and trades). This will blow over!

Just a couple months ago, he is Houston's "best player ever", and now ya'll want to kick him out. Steve is the Houston Rockets, he accepted the responsiblity and will keep it.

Steve Francis will learn to play with Yao Ming, after their first practice, Steve will find out the meaning of being a PG. He will finally be able to run down the court for a fast break instead of going for the rebound, finally he won't be the only one double teamed, he can double his assists throwing down to Ming, and finally we will have an offensive and defensive minded team.

And forget Wilcox, what do we need another PF for? I'm sure the next agenda for the Rockets is how to unload some PFs. We need a SF, period. (if we draft Ming) Think Butler, Woods, or Narchbor.

Steve IS the Houston Rockets???!!! What??? That is exactly the problem. Francis has been coddled for so long that he thinks he is bigger than the team. The Rockets existed before he was even born and God willing, will exist long after he and all of us are dead and buried. The last thing we need is to hang on the a prima donna who thinks he is the bomb. If he was THAT good we wouldn't have sucked so bad and wound up with the #1 to begin with.

And when Steve learns to play with Yao and we do badass, all of ya'll badmouthing Steve will act like ya'll never said anything bad at all. Ya'll are either going to have your foot in your mouths, or ya'll are going to act like ya'll were loyal the entire time. He states his own opinion and you all crap your pants. I don't like what he said either, but I'm not going to act like he doesn't care. He is just saying what he feels, and just because ya'll don't agree with what he said, you feel he doesn't belong here. And by the way Refman: I bet when we won the #1 pick you were excited as hell and now you act like its a bad thing

Keep him and get him on board with the idea of Ming, which it sounds like they are doing. Once Steve realizes that you have to take chances to build a dynasty, I'm sure he'll like the idea.

I posted this in the other Anti-Francis Poll so I'm saving the keystrokes and reposting it here...

There is no way I'd trade Francis right now. Look at the potiential... Francis is young, quick and already a great scorer. Once he dedicates himself to defense and learns to make his teammates better players he will become the player he already thinks he is. His arrogance is part of what may make him great. Give the man time to mature and don't kill him for having an opinion. I seriously can't believe how many "Fans" are ready to trade him for half a quote in the offseason. Rudy and Carrol obviously want Steve to be a part of this team for a long time or they wouldn't have sent him to the draft. Steve will enjoy playing with a true center for the first time who will make him better and his game easier.

I'm really excited about being a rockets fan right now and I find it strange that everyone here is ready to trade half the team for Odom, Kandi, et al, and gut the core of the team, and all I want to do is add some more pieces to the puzzle and watch it grow. I hope it goes my way because I like the current group of players and I'd love to see them mature with whoever they get with their 2 great first round picks.

Amen, VooDoo...there's 4 or 5 guys that average at least 20, 6 and 6 ...Francis is one of them. Nuff said.

Well, I voted to keep him but I'm not married to the idea. I could be just as happy with a Rox team lead by Davis or Miller or Williams. It's the Team that counts!

Some of you act as if Baron Davis and Andre Miller have made such waves in the NBA playoffs.

Newsflash...Miller (who some of you consider head and shoulders better than Steve) hasn't even gotten a sniff of a .500 team let alone the playoffs. Davis has guided his squad to the 6th and 8th seeds in the EAST. Whoopdie damn do!!!

If Steve was on Cleveland , they may not make the playoffs either, but they would be no worse off. If Steve was on Charlotte, do you really think they wouldnt have made the playoffs? Better yet, do you think WE would have made the playoffs with Baron or Andre?

    Look, it's very simple...

We won't trade for Andre Miller, because not only can Cleveland offer him the most money, there is no way Steve will re-sign there.

We won't trade for Davis, because the Hornets have already publicly said that they will NOT trade Davis

We won't trade with Chicago, because there's this Yao Ming guy that the Rockets are drafting...ever heard of him?

And the last option...what is that? What else is there? Hire a hitman to gun down Steve at his house? Secretly lace his food with high amounts of sodium and watch him suffer a fatal brain aneurysm on the court? I wouldn't put it past some of you nimrods to do either of these things.

There's a TINY part of me that wants Steve to just bolt to another team. Then, when he drops 30 every time he plays us, all the Steve haters can look dumfoundedly at the screen and wonder, "Ya know, maybe we should have re-signed that guy!"

Can't we offer Miller the same deal if he's in our uniform when his contract is up? Whether or not Steve signs with them becomes their problem.

Hasn't Davis allegedly requested a trade of his own accord, indicating a refusal to play in New Orleans?

Francis for the #2 pick (Jay Williams) and equalizers plus we keep the #1 (Ming). Yes, I have heard of him. That's why I want to keep him!

IF anything let's keep Steve and let him play with Ming. IF he starts freaking out we trade him next year for the right to pick Lebron James.

I want Francis to work out, his athleticism far outweighs his immaturity. He will learn what it takes to win, after he realizes he cannot win without a good team around him.
