An NBA writer for SI.com took Twitter questions from readers. Tracy McGrady came up:

Here's the column where he spoke at length with Morey: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/vault/article/magazine/MAG1158937/index.htm?eref=sisf

    Link to original story: http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2009/writers/chris_mannix/08/12/mailbag/index.html?eref=nbag

    Sorry if already posted.

PS - I realize the title is misleading considering the content concerning T-Mac, but this is the heading of the page I link to.

I'm guessing with the team for training camp but not playing in games until later on?

that first link is to a great atricle. " "They'll be able to make a blockbuster

deal," says an Eastern Conference G.M., "because a lot of teams will want to

wipe that salary off their books after next year." " i really hope thats true!

Management might just be holding back the decision on when He could play again. They are saving it for a possible deal or just a ploy to surprise teams. :D

It sounds stupid, doesn't it? They expect him to be ready for training campo, but he will probably on't be back until midseason

I guess DM and T-Mac are lying.

New sports reporting has really resulted in just reusing old rumors and tooling around with public knowledge to make things sound new.

ready for training camp doesn't necessarily mean ready to play...

Management might just be cautious on dealing with Tmac. They probably know He can play but would not rush it like last year. Better be safe then sorry.

Sounds like the writer is fabricating his talk with DM. It probably came from another article, because Morey would never tell the media that he's looking to trade T-mac.

Knowing Yao he just might show up to training camp but with a boot on his foot and play the Deke role as our cheerleader.
