I forgot to mention this. LA cannot continue with Fisher at PG. He is declining quickly and without Ariza and with Kobe's athleticism definitely slipping the Lakers no longer have the quickness at the wing positions to help cover up for him defensively.

PP pretty much carried the team last year without KG and Rondo stepped up big time. Sheed is just another piece to play with along with Glen Davis and KD. Man their front line is A+.

Ray Allen may have dropped off but he's no schmuck. So, I say Beantown, don't forget Eddie House and the rest of their bench. :D

I think, if KG was healthy last year, the Celtics would have repeated. Now they are back and loaded, I expect them to win it this upcoming season.

IF (big if) Kobe can keep Artest in check (as in playing within the offense and not ball-hogging), then it's the Lakers.

If that doesn't happen, then it's the Spurs

I`m a Laker fan but I just have the feeling that the lakers wont be hungry like last season, I Think it will be either the Celtics or the Spurs

I don't think Artest is that much of an upgrade over Ariza and his defense is already declining.

Hell, San Antonio really looks like the most dangerous team in the NBA right now, if healthly of course.

Tony has already been really, really good, you add a healthly Manu and a potential 20 ppg scorer in RJ. But the key for them will be Duncan. He is getting old and last season his both knees completly gave up. I am afraid this is gonna happen again next season.

    If not, they will win.

i agree celtics at full strength are going to be the team to beat. it will

probably be them and the lake show in the finals and the celtics take it in six.

how was it close? They lost in 6 to the magic. Even if they did make the finals, I would say the lakers would distroy them. Think about...big z is jsut as slow as yao, so gasol and bynam would be giving him fits. Ariza, odom can not stop lebron, but i would say they can at least contain him. The cavs have no body that could match up with odom or kobe. I would not say they were close...good team...but by no means close to winning it all.

I would say eastern finals magic against celtics and west is lakers against spurs. Anyone of these four teams could win it all this year. I would put my money on the spurs if they healthy, if not, I am going with the celtics.

Well besides Kobe (31) and Brown I don't think the lakers have great athletes, Lamar and Artest are good athletes (but not great)....with that said i think Portland will have the Lakers number this year .....the lakers biggest strength last year was there versatility & athleticism(which took a big hit by losing Ariza this summer)...and i think that the Blazers will be are a lot more athletic and versatile than the lakers this season......
