if russell is up, he is gone. i can't see lydia and kevin both voting for jesse. imo, he should take them both off, put natalie and jesse up so one of them are gone and their alliance is crippled. then you have time to explain to lydia and kevin why you took lydia off, so on and so forth and you can get them on your side.
You might be right. There's also something to be said for Jeff not to use the mystical power - b/c it puts a HUGE target on his back. Plus if he gets to the final 2 with the mystical power - he definitely won't get the $500K grand prize - b/c all of the bitter ex-houseguests who vote on the winner will say "Jeff only got this far b/c he got the wizard power - it was all luck and no skill" Jeff is in a REALLY tough position this week.
Whether Jeff uses the power or not this week, he is in danger from this point forward. They will all be after him either way. If Russell is gone, all Jeff has is Jordon on his side. Why would he not take a chance to save Russell and knock out Jessie, the leader of the other alliance? If Jessie is gone, he has a better chance at protecting his own ass by winning HOH next week. If he uses the power, he better put up Jessie and Natalie to guarantee that alliance loses a player.
I agree, that’s really his best option IMO. You put up Jessie and Natalie and one of them goes home for sure (obviously). That would mean that, no matter what happens, their alliance only has 2 people left and is rendered inconsequential. Then you just take them out one-by-one. Also, you would (in theory) have Russell and Lydia’s loyalty which could really come in handy. That would make an alliance of Jeff, Jordan, Russell, Lydia and maybe Kevin since he is friends with Lydia. Then you just use that alliance to take out Chima and whoever survives this week between Jessie and Natalie. I think the only people Jeff would piss off by doing that would be Chima, Natalie and Jessie. And starting next week, that’s only 2 people.
and Jesse must have been concerned at her inability to handle eggs last night... doesn't bode well for him in the bedroom.
IMO, getting Jessie evicted would be just as bad as saving Russell for Nat/Chima. I think Jeff has to use the CDT, put up Nat/Jessie, Jessie will be evicted. If he doesn't use it Russell will be evicted and he and Jordan will be way outnumbered in the house (Michele is kind of playing both sides, she is more loyal to J/J but if they are that outnumbered she will probably try to go with the other side). Jeff and Jordan would have to with HOH's back to back to stay for longer than a couple more weeks.
I second that. On another note, I really hate Chima. Did you see the way she pointed at Jeff and Russell during the HOH competition when it was Kevin's turn to pick the next two contestants? I'm really curious to see what Michelle has in store for her nominations.
she was about to flip out during the last little part where you eavesdrop on the houseguests. i can't wait for sunday.
for the love of God - can someone tell me WHY, oh WHY, did Kevin listen to Chima when she pointed to Russell and Jeff to pick to oppose each other in the HoH??!?!?!?!?! When the hell did Kevin decide to join the evil empire that was Jesse/Natalie/Chima??!?!?!?!?!? I thought Kevin/Lydia/Michelle were floaters who had no real allegiance????? (Except for Lydia and Jesse's on-again off-again romantic fling?) I was seriously pissed that Kevin listened to Chima. But this week is going to be interesting with Michelle in power. She has been Switzerland throughout the game - and will finally have to pick sides. Hopefully all of Chima's dumbass "girl power" talk won't persuade her to join the evil empire. Hopefully she'll put up Natalie and Chima or Natalie and Lydia... but I'm worried she's going to put up Russell and Jeff - thinking they are now the most powerful alliance in the house.
Seriously, that was the best episode I've seen since I've been watching (about the last 3 seasons). I loved Jordan's face (and t***) when she saw Jeff stand up. For a while, I was starting to wonder if Jeff would actually use it. But he did it and he did it perfectly IMO. Seeing Jessie get put back up was priceless. What a baby that guy is. He can dish it out but can't take it. I was hoping Russell would just kick his ass when they got in eachother's faces. You could tell Jessie was pissing in his pants but trying to hide it because he knew he was on camera. I can see two factions forming in the house now. First being Chima, Natalie, Lydia, and Kevin. The second being Jeff, Jordan, and Russell. Question is, which side will Michelle be on. I don't know why Lydia and Kevin have joined the dark side. Especially since Jeff saved Lydia. Not sure what's up with that. Anyway, anyone else notice how Michelle seems to get a little hotter every week? Started out as a nerd but is definitely born-again hot. Did you see her outfit last night?
This is REALLY pissing me off... If anything - Lydia owes Jeff and should be loyal to him. Why has Kevin seemingly joined the dark side? Is it b/c of all the "girl power" talk and felt that he naturally fit in with that as opposed to fitting in with alpha male Russell and Jeff????? Kevin is now one of my most despised people in the house.
and did anybody notice Jesse's toolbag shirt that he wore when he was put on the block last night? he took off his polo and had a t-shirt that read, "The man, the myth, the legend" and then a huge picture of himself shirtless flexing his guns... on the back it read, "Take it all in..." SERIOUSLY... what a tool.
look, i don't like the guy either, but the reality of it is that he got completely screwed. america's choice bs and giving jeff that power should have NOTHING to do with the game. the producers saw jessie controlling the game, and he was going to march through the house if they didn't throw in some BS like the coup. they knew jessie was hated and jeff and jordan adored by the fans, so they had to take their best measures to keep viewership strong. it was pretty bogus, but "expect the unexpected", i guess. and this is coming from somebody who hates his side of the house, and is pulling for jeff. i watched some of After Dark last night, and it was hilarious. chima, natalie, and lydia were all sitting around the kitchen table, and suddenly chima started sobbing over jessie, and the other 2 started in right behind her, and they all starting telling stories about what an amazing guy jessie was. it was like they thought he was dead. then they started badmouthing jeff, and saying what a hateful, awful, and smug person he is (seems like the exact opposite). the 3 of them are so f'd up and disgusting.
it was riveting television on "After Dark" last night. I just found out that last night's episode was not live because Chima threatened the producers to curse and punch Jordan in the face and become physically violent if her nominations don't remain as is and Russell doesn't leave the house b/c of the "mystery power" and according to message boards dedicated to the "After Dark" shows - Chima is extremely racist and man-hating. CBS has been really nice in their editing of the show - b/c a lot has happened on the After Dark feeds that show what a horrible shrew Chima actually is.
You know, that’s actually a good point and I don’t disagree with you at all…theoretically, that is. But Jessie is such an unmitigated TOOL, that I’m willing to look past it. Besides, I seem to remember that before this season even started they were talking about a twist in the game that has never happened before…so I don’t think they just came up with it on the fly to help out the more popular HG’s. I think it’s been in the plans all along. I don’t doubt that at all. Cleary she hates men because of what happened to her. I don’t think she’s ever really dealt with what happened. Doesn’t surprise me that she’s a racist either. She’s already called Russell a terrorist… Who knows what’s gone on in the house that they’ve edited out. There seems to be a lot more tension in this house than other seasons. People are really getting personal this season. I’ve been meaning to check out After Dark since I just recently got Showtime, but being the old man I am, I can’t stay up that late. I always thought it would just be video of them sleeping or whatever. Maybe I’ll DVR it just to check it out.
they were referring to the cliques as the twist. the coup has been done before. mike boogie won it in the allstars season, and didn't need to use it. i almost agree with your first couple sentences...i'm just too much of a purist i guess. i think the fact that people that you don't like end up winning add to the fun of the show. the season that Jun won (one of the most detestable contestants they've ever had), and the season that Maggie won (possibly the most boring contestant in show history) were both great seasons in my eyes too.
