Totally agree. Always my 2nd favorite team as a kid (rooting for Dr. J and Mo Cheeks and Andrew Tony, etc.) I once got to see them play the Rockets at the Summit and I thought my head would explode with joy. (This was the game where Dr. J tapped me on the shoulder and nicely said excuse me as the Sixers made their way into the gym before the game.) So annnnnyway, I'm having a big time nostalgia-fest with these uniforms and that court. Just last week, with our new puppy, I realized I default to the two-tone whistle that Billy Cunningham used from the sidelines to call plays.
I was going to say what about the court - great to see it changed too. The Sixers went from having one of the best uniforms in the league to one of the absolute worst. And they took forever to correct the mistake. I still don't know what they were thinking. Hey, kinda like the Rockets. I wouldn't count on us going back to the real Rocket uniforms unless there was real money to be made.
