all this comes down to one thing, no one talks bad about tracy but rockets fans! its like my family only i can talk about my family but me! now heres the real question, who does everyone hate more? rosen or tracy? my vote is for rosen, i hate that guy(one of the biggest rocket bashers ever!)
Depends on your version of tough. If he means as a winner in the game itself? Then no. As a player able to grind through a half a season on one leg in order to try and have his best chance to win a championship on his best team? Then there is none tougher in the NBA. I would love to see Kobe limp his way through one game before opting for microfracture if his knees required it.
There is no doubt about Tmacs toughness. Its his ability to carry a team in the game to a victory. This guy is just another blow hard looking for attention. The fact that he included Vince Carter the guy who jumped over a 7 footer to dunk on him just ruins his whole credibility.
T-Mac is the easiest target to make fun of in the league. I guess his league high $23M salary is enough to prevent me from feeling sorry for him, but some of these analysts that do nothing more than point out the obvious need to get over it.
Dude Kobe made it through a well publicized, horrifying PINKY injury one season. I don't even want to hear it.
If Tmac is the toughest player in the NBA then the NBA has hit rock bottom I mean it would be worse than middle school softball. so what's your version of hard rock music? Enya?
That's amazing, you have acheived what I thought was the impossible. I figured McGrady was indefensible at this point.
While both are significant basketball injuries, a pinky injury and a knee injury shouldn't be lumped together for your purposes. If I am not mistaken, Kobe was able to offset some of the limitations from his injury by taping his fingers together which provided a level of stability for taking shots. I am not sure of a good way to offset Tracy's injury.
yeah, I agree that T-Mac's salary makes people angry. He doesn't deserve it. All high salary superstars are criticized about something. Garnett's "intensity", Kobe and Lebron's cockiness and T-Mac's toughness. Marbury's everything last year.
Well he may not be the toughest player in the NBA but he is tough or has heart. I mean he does play through injuries. that right there shows he has heart and is a tru warrior
then tell me who on the rockets would rush back from their OWN injury to help the team? AT LEAST 3 TIMES
Yao, Landry, Battier, Luis Scola (would). Let's not forget the ever self-sacrificing Brian Cook. Okay well maybe that's taking it a little too far.
1) landry did not play until his knee surgery HEALED completely, the same injury tmac came back early from b/c we were struggling in adelman's first year. everybody was wondering why the hell it was taking landry so long that year. remember? 2) shane did not return early this year. that was the main reason tracy came back earlier this year: b/c shane was not ready to play in the opener. 3) yao and scola would. yao proved that in game 1 v. the lakers how tough he is and would play through injuries. scola would play the game for free it seems like. but no, landry and shane would not. tmac has rushed himself back FOUR TIMES on my count b/c of the team. how he handled himself when he came back last year appeared "soft." but no one on this team has played through more injuries that tmac did.
