That was really really cool! You are a natural on TV. I was very impressed! Are you the only Asian in MN?
There's actually a pretty decent sized community with a fair amount of Chinese, Vietnamese (we have more Pho shops per capita than NYC or Chicago) and lots of Hmong (there are probably more Hmong here than back in Laos.)
ok.....i had been wondering if sishirchang was the same person as rocketsjudoka....now i know for sure. any reason for the name change or did i miss something?!?! congrats though and thanks for sharing the video and recipe!!
When I changed my moniker I had a thread about it. Here's the synopsis. I screwed up when I registered the first time and ended up using my real name. That wasn't such a big deal except that on Google searches for me Clutchfans threads were coming up and I would rather not have potential clients or others seeing "Don't nair your nads" or "Pooper" coming up during searches for my name. I figured rather than bother the mods to change my moniker I made a new one and worked my way back up from rookie.
Some still do but not new threads and gradually those will get pushed further down the search listings.
Now I'm going to have to say in every poop thread... 'Hmm... I wonder what Sishir Chang thinks about this topic?'
I liked how the host goes shakes your hand after you were munching on them ribs..hope you didn't get his hands dirty haha
I thought you did very well, considering the pace and the questions. Nice job sporting the texas rep. I'm a terrible cook, so when I see stuff like this that seems easy and tastes great I am grateful. Hopefully I won't screw it up when I try it.
Sishir, where the hell did you get such a thick Texas accent growing up in Houston. I lived in Houston up until college and people can't even tell I'm from Texas unless until I start saying ya'll
He was eating ribs too so both our hands were pretty dirty. I kept a towell handy, from experience of working in restaurants but the host said don't worry about wiping your hands clean as that would be distracting for the audience.
I will level with y'all but I actually played up my accent a bit more than the way I normally talk. I figured that would make for more entertaining TV sort of like Paul Prudhoe.
