Small sample size. 3 more hits and he's hitting well over .300. At the same time, he was unlikely to keep up that pace all year long and you also have to factor in that he almost never walks. His OBP is only about 25 points higher than his AVG. He has more GIDPs and Es than BBs.
I think we will see him start to struggle a bit but overall he will still be about .300 by years end...
Terrible execution on the bunt. For a non-power-hitting team, we really need to do the little things well and maximize our scoring chances. Between our less than stellar baserunning and lack of bunting in certain situations, we simply don't do those things.
I think it would be hard for him not to be around .300 by year's end. It would take a phenomenal slump like he's never seen in his career. The questions with Miggy are how many times will he swing at bad pitches, ground into double plays and make errors at short.
The thing I see with that is we are SUPPOSE to be a power hitting team but just didn't turn out that way so we are stuck with guys who don't play small ball by besides Bourn and Matsui(sometimes)...
I agree but you have to recognize at some point what you aren't and make adjustments. That starts with the manager.
Yep amazing how a lot of this teams faults come back to the manager lol...just saying lol Bourn>Lidge lol...Baseball is amazing
Bourn's the man. I'd like to see him in the 100 m dash against Carl Crawford, Juan Pierre, Jose Reyes, Willy T, and Jacoby Ellsbury.
I was about to say how Fulchino gives me closer vibe just like how Wright gives me a starters vibe with one more pitch..
Big man looks like its a struggle just getting out there but hey when he is healthy he ain't half bad...should have traded him for prospects at the deadline lolol
Walking the lead off man is a reciepe for diaster now a single makes things dicey! Darn Val give me a 1-2-3 inning somtime before you leave the Stros this winter!
