I'm also in the camp that would wonder why the fight would be thrown. If there were one guy who the UFC would want to be the first to beat Silva, it would be Forrest. I like Forrest, but I don't think he's as skilled as he is popular. I didn't like him taking the decision vs Rampage either.
They're coming from me. The fight was so one sided and embarrassing that it looked rigged. Griffin has been in fights that lasted several rounds and ended up looking like he'd been in a blood bath. Then he comes out like that last night? Getting knocked out or having the ref stop the fight is one thing, but he got hit and then put his hand out to quit. It may have happened before but I've never seen a fight end like that.
i guess they rigged forrest's jaw to dislocate too lol. that fight was like jordan v bryon russell. that was like watching hakeem in his prime. it is just stupid how much better silva is than anyone else. also....now that silva's manager said he is permanently moved up to the lhw division who does he have to fight? he has said repeatedly he doesn't want to fight machida since he views him as a brother but that is the only competition for him. i can't see evans beating him. evans has the speed to hit silva but silva's striking is on a whole other level.
LOL, I'm no UFC or MMA fan, but if you people can't see why he quit just based on that gif, you're a moron. The other guy was making a fool out of him. I'd want to quit as well.
I don't think forrest quit for one second. The guy had his jaw raped by silva and his face caved in with an amazing jab. When he his the canvas the last time he was out. The only thing that made it look like he was tapping was his inability to control his arms like in the evans fight.
