Hampton's spot is in serious jeopardy if he bombs tonight. Now I think I understand the reasoning behind Bazardo's callup.
I hope tonight was one more step towards a young arm taking Hampton's spot. Hell, rookies from Greenville can throw better than Hampton right now.
Who's up for a 3 man rotation? Just Oswalt, Wandy, and Norris. No relievers or anything like that either.
This outing by Bazardo is so ugly, my MLB game time thing doesn't even want to refresh to show me the hit the Pitcher got. LOL. Yikes. I'm off to steam clean my place.
Are they seriously about to load the bases AGAIN with out an out?! WTF!? Why do I keep watching?! WHY?! edit: He got 2 K's....throwing nothing but fastballs now. LOL....on the game cast, his ERA just jumped from 0.00 to 54.0 EDIT: Make that 67.5 ERA for our savior Bazardo.
They're saying it's a sprained right knee for Hampton: http://houston.astros.mlb.com/news/...t_id=6320464&vkey=news_hou&fext=.jsp&c_id=hou
Tought start for Bazardo really tough but he wasn't suppose to pitch and caught everyone by suprise so ill throw him a mulligan on this one and with Hampton getting hurt I expect him to get start soon! On a side note... brianmctaggart Here's what Ed Wade said before game: "I don’t believe in Sept. recalls as rewards for jobs well done at Triple-A. That's not the purpose."
Just one of those games, lets try again manana with the National League Pitcher of the month coming to the rescue!
There's been a lot of "those games" recently. Since the beginning of July, we've given up 8 runs or more 11 times and are 0 and 11 in "those games."
