I think many people buy tickets... but they don't show up for games.... or usually arrive really late (like close to half-time).... I don't know why it's like that in this town.
some of us own seats in the lower bowl and have achieved perfect attendance since becoming season ticket holders. And I use my seats and enjoy all 48 minutes from them. Your qualms are with the corporations that own Club seats... They are in the Club, Lexus Lounge, the Woodforest Lounge, or sitting at the bar with clients or they are in their courtside suites enjoying their food and p's and q's from there. The Rockets know where the money is. The Houston corporations. It's not in the individual. Is it fair that they do $96 million in premium seats sales each year which is only second to the Knicks? Well, if they use that money to buy draft picks or move players to make us a better team, then you definitely can't blame them. If Les pocketed all the money, then it would be a different story. And the Rockets can say to all of us, well if you want to pay the going rate, then you too can have the seats and be on tv because a lot of people are already paying it.
Did you not read the article... 90% of the people who buy tickets use them. That's what a drop count is.
its just bad toyota centre design that makes the stadium so depressingly ghostly........they built too many corporate boxes(that generate lots of cash) where they should have built normal seats for the average loud screaming fans. houston is a depressingly small market for the 4th biggest city in the USA
yes... that is everyone who walked through the doors... whether they are in the Lexus Lounge or in their seats.
I've moved down to an empty seat countless times in the lower bowl. There's no trick to it. Just dress semi-nice and act like you're supposed to be there. The ushers aren't going to chase you if you walk straight down and have a seat. There are plenty of empties to choose from. The people who bought those tickets essentially threw them in the garbage, and I'm more than happy to fish them out.
Exactly. What percentage attendance on tickets they sell include people that are A) sitting in their chairs and B) giving a hoot about the game? In the lower bowl, the % is even worse.
