So... Apparently an expensive watch turns someone into an NBA talent? Lol.

I think he's going to sell that anyway...

Probably means the kid is poor and can sell the watch to go to training camps, etc. to keep practicing his basketball skills. Not that the watch will make him better.

    Much respect to Ron Artest.

He may have charged in to the stands at The Palace, but the guy has a great sense of humor, and he's a kid at heart.

One hell of a character. He needs to join Chuck and Kenny on the TNT halftime show once he retires.

The kid better find a way to sell the watch soon, and put together financing for his education. Otherwise, I am worried we'll be seeing a headline saying "Chinesae Teenager Receiving Gift from NBA Player Slain in Robbery." Kind of a dangerous thing walking around with a $45K watch when you are in China (or anywhere else... really).

    i'm gonna miss Ron's personality.
he always seems to get involved in the community and is a fan friendly person..just as long as you don't throw beer on him.

Would have been better if he set up a trust for the kid if he wanted that. Nice gesture though esp. since he he took a pay cut signing with LA.

When you think about it you realize he never really did anything wrong. Just what you hear from Reggie Miller and the quirky stories. But I am fine with all that. He went into the stands to get a guy who threw a freaking beer. Ban the fans for 82 games not Ron.

At least Ron didn't say that this kid was the 3rd best player that he has ever played against.

If you factor in the exchange, it would actually be about $300,000 that he gave you. His family could build themselves a luxurious home, travel a little and send all their kids to whatever schools they wanted.

The average monthly wage in the secondary industrial cities like Wuhan would be less than 2500 Yuan, or about $400. You can build a nice house outside the city for $5000, mind you - so even that smaller wage goes a lot further.

That would be hilarious to watch. Especially since Ron called CB overrated.
