The only good thing about it is that Morey got to use that funny joke, because its true. I love JVG but damn, you got the feeling toward the end of the season everyone was listening to him call our games by the way they started to play us.

They have more talent and a player people will want to see play, we don't.

Who cares? I, for one, relish it! I think it can be a motivational tool for the team.

Haha he still can give away secrets considering he is always talking about Shane Battier and the Rockets. Just because they aren't being seen on T.V doesn't stop him from talking about them.

Yao is not playing this year so fronting won't be an issue this year.

Don't you think it's also kind of annoying how the same teams always get national coverage, and for christmas its always the lakers and someone else. Yeah i agree that its a slap in the face that we don't even get atleast one national tv game, after proving ourselves pretty well this past year.

On the 2009 playoff game 6 Rockets played without the big stars ( Artest played badly) but still beat LA and broke the ESPN rating record.

If I am ESPN marketing, I would broadcast one game that LA play in Houston and called it " revenge of Lakers" and see if Fakers can actually defeat Rockets "role players" in Houston.

And if once again Rockets blow LA away...... :D that will worth the season.

The national networks frequently adjust their schedules mid-season based on how things go in order to maximze revenue. For instance, in 05/06, the networks dropped a bunch of Rockets games mid-year because of the team's injury problems and crappy record.

So, to the extent any one cares, if the team wins some games and if the two injured stars return, the networks may very well drop some games from teams that disappointed or suffered mid-season injuries to pick up some Rockets games. The TV folks are simply in the ad-revenue maximization business.

Did we have it on FSN last year? I know I've been seeing astros games, so I'm hoping FSN will carry ALL them games...
