The mods are gonna start layin the smack down ladies and gents. I'm just sayin... BTW, Tool. Like there's even a doubt.
Tool Chevelle band members would do backflips upon hearing there is even a debate. (And I like Chevelle)
This.. admittedly im not a fan of Chevelle but I did not even know Chevelle was even on the same level of Tool.
to each his own, and I respect Tool greatly. Big, Big, Big fan of Tool, but I'd personally put Chevelle ahead of Tool. Not by much. Chevelle is a lot more consistent and more in touch with my personal flavor of metal.
TOOL, of course but Chevelle isn't bad. To me, their music lacks the depth, abstractness and intellect of TOOL but I do enjoy it. It's like TOOL-lite and has served me well in paving the way for some of my "poppy" friends to get into TOOL.
At this point, I think Chevelle rocks harder. But overall, you can't argue that Tool isn't a better, deeper, more talented band.
