    Good for them.

Maybe they'll have a brutal slump in the second half of the season, destroying player morale and pitting Kobe against Artest in the locker room. Kobe's whining and Artest's antics will have the team in a frenzy and they will be swept in the first round by the Phoenix Suns.

    ... sorry, dream over.

Wait, what's the big deal? Just means they will play more away games later.

Not true, having more home games early means that the team has a chance to develop chemistry, and they are more likely to win which means with each game they'll gain confidence. By the time they hit the away games they will have already developed that chemistry so they are less likely to implode.

Also a big deal if it does turn out that Jackson is only going to coach in home games in the regular season.

Eh, I think that's over thinking it a bit. We had no problem building enough chemistry over the couple of months after Tracy went down and Rafer was traded.

I think in the grand scheme of things it doesn't have much of an impact.

Seems like the last 3-4 years the Lakers have had a favorable schedule early on. No big deal at all.

They only did that so that out of the last 61 games, 37 will be on the road, in honor of Thriller's 37 weeks at number 1....

Theyre really shaving the dice so the Lakers can attempt a 15-0 start.

They've had similar starts to their schedules for a couple of seasons now.

That is completely r****ded. The should just randomize the schedule rather than pick from hand. :/

As DieHard Rocket said, your overthinking this. Everyone is. You guys just all love to jump on the "NBA is rigged" bandwagon. Not saying there isnt favouritism but this isnt a case of it. Having a lot of home games at the start also means that they will be on the road A LOT at the end of the season when teams start to get weary and tired.

And plus, i would have thought that chemistry is also built fairly strongly on the road when teams stay together and travel togehter rather then going home to their own families. No?

At the end of the day everyone plays 41 games at home and 41 games on the road. Favouritism with schedules would be back-to-backs and long road trips not the amount of home and away games...

He won't. GM said he'd coach home and away.
