Jesus - apart from Blake your all a bunch of negative nancies. Pearl Jam is amazing, simply stated. Green Day is really good, and a lot of fun.
<br> Agreed, Pearl Jam is killer Green Day is very good as well. Just hope they play a bunch of stuff from their previous albums!!
No kidding! I'm not the biggest fan of Green Day's post Insomniac stuff, but their old albums have a special place in my heart. The first concert I ever went to was Green Day at the Astroarena during the Insomniac tour. That being said, I've had a pretty good few weeks of concert going. Saw Grizzly Bear, TV on the Radio, and Sonic Youth. Next is the Virgin Mobile Free Fest at the end of August where I'll be seeing Weezer, The National, Franz Ferdinand, St. Vincent, Public Enemy, Hold Steady, and Girl Talk. Did I mention it was free?
I just got done seeing all 4 nights of Phish @ Red Rocks, talk about musical x!! Green Day? Pearl Jam? Come on, guys... You want to see good live rock and roll? Go to Widespread Panic in Austin on Halloween.
Aussie Rocket.. i agree with you, can't wait to see Pearl Jam and Green Day. Everyone has there own tastes so i guess you are going to cop a bit of flack from one person or another... Saw Green day play Telstra Dome/Etihad Stadium a couple of years ago on the American idiot tour and have seen Pearl Jam a few times now.. Bit of a swap over though, with Pearl Jam playing Etihad and Green Day Rod Laver. Not sure i really like Etihad as a concert venue though, but still will be there hopefully close to the front.. Good to see Ben Harper and the Relentless 7 supporting PJ makes for a great show.
Good on ya mate. Ben Harper is going to be awesome to see. Never been to a concert at Docklands - i''ll def be trying for the GOLD seats as i'd imagine the sound wouldnt carry all that well.
Amen, bro. Heaven on earth for me would be seeing Creed, Daughtry, and Nickelback all on the same day! Enjoy!
Yeah not sure how PJ will go, The Green Day concert and i think any other concert at Docklands was an over the top thing with a massive stage show.. just don't see PJ doing that. Anyway yeah i'm like you will get the gold tickets and just enjoy the show.
Padding my stats a bit here, but seriously do people really think that a lot of the bands that are around today, will be relevant in 5-10 years.. Only the truly great bands can stand the test of time and constantly bring the fans back, even if their last couple of albums were a little bit rusty. That is what PJ and a small minority of truly great bands do.. And I for one am proud that i'm going to these concerts. Too many great bands, artist etc are never heard of because of the influx of crap from American/ Australian Idols etc. Well that is my 2 cents anyway

You are right. PJ aren't that type of band are they. The whole 'bells and whistles' stage show isnt their go at all. Will be interesting.
