lol... Eminem didn't release that load of diss to get some hits... it was to send a message... obviously Mariah can't do that with her gay pop music... come on guys.. common sense....
You do understand that their both pop artists, right? I mean, she does R&B, he does rap but they both get a huge amount of their sales from the teenage MTV crowd. On a side note, i know Eminem has the hard rapper look and Nick Cannon is seen as the goofy Nickelodeon guy but could Em really whoop his ass? Em is probably more likely to to have gun or something but if they were both in the same room and decided to box - who would win? I could see if this 50 cent but I don't think this is as clear cut as it seems.
No... one is rap artist.. that does specifically RAP... and Mariah does pop and R&B. MTV doesn't mean they're pop.. I don't know if that's what you're trying to say. I think it's pretty clear cut on who wins... I don't know if you've seen how buff Em has been at times... but Nick Cannon is a really light weight person (or at least thats how he appears to be) and it wouldn't really be fair... Em would be categorized in the middle-weight side. Yeah, but this song right here was just to send a message... I don't think he wanted it to be one of his hits or something.. Mariah just released that song as a new single one towards getting a hit... but she mixed Eminem in there to diss him... Eminem was a response... Mariah's was the creation... I'm trying to explain it the best way I can... I don't know if you get what I mean.
Geez, 10 pages on this crap, you do know this is about two people coming out with musical threats about one another..................These two are in their late 30's/40's, trust me they are having wine somewhere laughing about this crap....youung people eat up this crap....it musical tabloid material.
No, I don't think most of this thread was really about this subject.. it was mainly about 2Pac and Biggie... and I don't know how the hell that started here.
Lol, Eminem felt the need to send Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon a message -- what a p***y. First he lets 'Bruno' stick his ass right up in his grill now he's calling out Nick Cannon -- Eminem is as weak as his fan base.
Why.. I think I've hit quite a nerve there buddy... I'm not really a fan of Eminem to be honest.. listened to his old music in the past... but I just mainly listen to rap in general. It may seem like I'm defending him... I'm defending rap more in general. But surely you'd know what's up... my fault for deceiving you.
Did Eminem kill you too? I don't get why people have to attack the fan base of an artist. Ok, we get it, you don't like him. But that doesn't make you better or any cooler than the people that do listen to Eminem.
Well... from the looks of it and some of the reactions here.. some of you don't even listen to rap.. I'm sorry I had to put it that way. Just curious though... do you listen to rap DoD?
I don't listen to much music anymore, but I've listened to rap/hip-hop since the early-to-mid 80's. The "Roxanne, Roxanne" comment in my previous post should've given that away - if you know your rap. BTW, you defending Eminem by saying he had to come out rough like this is kind of odd since he basically apologized a few months ago for attacking Mariah and Nick's relationship and sort of backed off his attacks. Look it up. Oh damn, there goes his street cred.
You started a thread entitled: Eminem kills Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey -- who's Eminem going to go after next Gary Coleman ? Please explain how Eminem's weak diss of Mariah Carey (from your perspective) defends rap.
Marshall Mathers LP is one of the best rap albums of all time. Eminem should have retired after The Eminem Show though.
It may seem backwards but any publicity is good publicity. Some people who didn't know about "Obsessed" are now listening to it as a result of "what inspired Eminem to release "The Warning" and it's showing based on the increased airplay and downloads seen through Mediabase over the past 3 days after a period of steady decline. Yes, Eminem gets publicity, but Mariah has much more to gain because her song is actually near the top of the charts.
Mainstream and paychecks=talent. You just don't get it. Wu-Tang is like that action movie where you check your brain at the door. The explosions sound good, but beneath it all, there is no substance. Underground rap noob? LOL! That is funny...seriously. Stick to Wu's childish lyrical babbling cuz clearly the lyrics of a far more talented artist are too complex for you.
