I didn't realize there were so many Nick Cannon fans here. My bad for not knowing who he was pre-Mariah. I mean, this dude sounds like he could rival Paris Hilton in terms of overall talent. He deserves better!!
I don't think most of us who disagree w/ your comparison of Cannon & K-Fed are fans of Nick Cannon. We just realize the guy actually had some sort of career before latching onto Mariah. K-Fed had squadoosh!

How many MC's you know got the balls to step up and challenge Slim Shady? Give Mariah credit for the balls to do it...
What's she got to lose? It's not like her genre depends on "street cred" or something. She's also a woman, so I don't think anybody expects her to go back at him physically or anything.

Why should they? Again, different genre and females - nobody's expecting them to go back at him. If they did or didn't, I don't think they gain anything with it. Mariah chose to go back at him, but now what? Eminem just comes back at her yet again? He gains publicity and that's all that matters to him. Eminem should stick with ripping other rappers. At least then you can see a verbal battle - this R&B melodic retaliation to a hiphop verbal thrashing starts to sound funny after a while. Come to think of it, hey Eminem, go after Placido Domingo - can you imagine the verbal warfare?! The Tenor vs. Slim Shady! Or maybe Em can go after Garth Brooks! Hell, go old school group - the Oakridge Boys! Would you expect them to retaliate? Would you think any less of them? lol. Seriously, I don't know what Mariah can gain out of this - she's a few orders of magnitude above Eminem on the star chart as it is, and I'd be more worried he's a nut that may snap and go after her.
Eminem needs to let this go. He's losing credibility with every track he makes about Mariah because he is simply exploiting the reasoning behind "Obsessed." I don't know about you guys but if I had someone who kept voicemails and photos for 7 years of me, I would find that very obsessive. This track falls right into the trap Mariah made by having him go crazy, gain publicity for her, and ultimately exploit just how 'obsessed" he is.
I think you have it backwards. This is bringing more press and money to Eminem, because his tracks are far better. Eminem has her and Nick by the balls, and he is loving every minute of it...
I prefer the feud between LL Cool J and Kool Moe Dee. Eminem picking on a woman aint that impressive to me.
We have many people saying in here that Eminem should know better... because Mariah is a girl or because Mariah is in pop.. or whatever the hell your reason is.. No.. It doesn't fly like that... Especially when you have a reputation in the rap industry... you people who don't listen to rap wouldn't understand how this stuff goes around... just let it go? No.. that's not how it works... please go educate yourself about rap and the rap industry and how it has been dealt with in the past. Eminem isn't a crazy person to go out and do something violent over a feud.... but he isn't stupid either to let it go. Mariah has lost... plain and simple... and Nick Cannon... was he even playing? He just got trashed and ripped apart like garbage.
