Not sure if this should be posted here, but right now Scola is playing in the Super 4 tournament in Argentina. Also playing point for Uruguay is Barrera, who has been involved with the rockets (summer league if i'm not mistaken) anyway for those in the US who want to see the Scola playing, here are a couple of links for the game: http://www.ustream.tv/channel-popup/fenixtv-max http://www.rojadirecta.com/justin/senal1_uruguay
His name is Roman Gonzalez, and hes been a part of our national team since the 2006 FIBA world championship. He has size (about 6'10) and some good moves at the low post but hes not athletic and has slow moves. I dont think he'd play consistently at a NBA competition level.
The game is over. Argentina won 82 - 70 Notables: Argentina Paolo Quinteros, 18 pts, Luis 17 pts 11 rbs Uruguay: Esteban Batista 29 pts
From the bit I saw of the second half, Scola looked good. Particularly his court awareness and passing. He also made some nice buckets around the hoop.
A taste of what He has to face next season. The talent of the competition is not the same but the concept of being the main man in the low post would be a good test for him.
Good to hear scola playing well, but let me say something. They aren't going to double scola, he's not good enough. Teams will double brooks before scola. The lakers this year and Utah last yr didn't double scola and he shot 42% against La and 44% vs Utah. Another thing is, at what point doesw the extra basketball begin to catch up with him?
