They really aren't like that at all. I know people that have been ordering from Schwan's for 20+ years.
People who don't appreciate things... Yeah.. the delivery guy really has time to babble to you about their items... I think once you try the food for yourself.. you'll see if you want to order from them again... I don't know where you got that idea from...
This was my concern. Free shipping doesn't enter the equation unless you are spending $30.00 and they won't leave the package at your door in a freezer bag unless you are using a credit card to pay for the order (which would of course require you add more than the alloted free $10.00 to your shopping cart). This is a clever way for one of their "managers" to give you the company's sales pitch. This sort of thing normally wouldn't bother me but we've been getting hit hard by solicitors lately (religious and otherwise).
Well, they said $0 but at checkout they were a different price. Of course. Anyways, speaking of free food: http://www.freakyfreddies.com/food.htm
We've been using them for several years now. Good stuff. We probably pop for about $60-75 each month. If you're cool to the delivery guy, he'll sometimes hook you up with new or untried items for free. If you don't like something, you can return it for a credit. Also, no pressure.
Okay so I ordered two pizzas totaling to a subtotal of $9.98, but at the checkout they show that after the under $10 eat for free promotion, the total ends up at $5.54................so how is that free? Do they take into account the tax before taking into account the promotion, thus boosting the total over $10 ? Does that mean I have to buy something less than 10$, tax included?
I've never heard/done something like this. What's the tipping etiquette? Is this like getting a UPS delivery (no tip) or pizza (tip)?
I don't think you have to tip. It's like getting a UPS delivery. The free food/shipping is all part of the promo.
Thanks for the tip. I ordered meatballs. It seems expensive compared to supermarket food. Is it higher quality?
Well moes is a avant garde elitist who only eats soy, lentils, and Kashi, so its not a big surprise he wouldn't like this great, patriotic, American food.
