What? I'm confused.... I don't know which player you're talking about... I've never said anything about Hakim Warrick not being wanted in Memphis or anywhere, for that fact... and please stop posting like a child.... grow up.
So, anyone remember Jonathan Bender? He is apparently interested in making a comeback in the NBA. Just thought I'd share the story: Article Might be a good player to watch, along with Leon Powe, if we need some cheap pick-ups at PF.
Man I wish we could some how get our hands on the rights to Rubio, from Minn. .......Khann cant admitt he made a mistake when he drafted two point guards .....he could have easily have taken Derozan or Curry if they really wanted a two guard.....well hopefully we can take advantage of this situation, peace out
If injuries are our biggest problem...you are going to suggest Jonathon Bender. Hmmm, someone needs to get their head checked.
how about this trade mcgrady and brooks for dwayne wade and a good forward take your pick think about it this might work miami knows wade is going to oppt out wether he resigns with them or not so why not see what they can get it works for us cuz we get dwayne wade and finaly a player who knows how to play with a big man and still in his young years with a ring if he works out we keep him and if he doesnt we can still go for a big gun in the offseason

Honest question: What would the Rockets have to do to bring Dwayne Wade here in 2010? I remember the thread discussing our cap space and the lower salary cap, but all teams would be affected by6 this. Has Wade particularly stated or hinted what kind of money he expects? Assuming McGrady expires, is it reasonable to simply plug Wade in his place? Has Wade said/hinted that he will never join the Rockets? At 28/29 years old, would he be too old to look into? Is he even the type of player that we would want at that stage? Would Les Alexander ever consider paying luxury tax (i.e. ~ $10 million over the cap) in order to have a player like him? Disregarding the money, is he the type of player that Morey or Adelman are interested in? I think Dwayne Wade's best statistical season has just ended, but he'll probably win more championships...and they should be with Houston. If there is already a legitimate discussion of this on the BBS, please direct me to it (I didn't find any).
I'm not worried about the Rockets bigs. It's early but my feeling is the Rockets may have to tweak their backcourt... Rockets and Pacers could be perfect trading partners. Dunleavy is out for a month from Sep 27. McGrady won't play until at least Nov 23. Houston: Dunleavy, Hansbrough, choice to exchange 2010 1st round picks with Pacers, Dampier (expiring**) Indiana: McGrady, Taylor Dallas: Foster, Diener (waive), Cook (waive), Barry (buyout) *Rockets cut team salary by $5.4M, get under the tax. **Last season is fully unguaranteed, which becomes full guaranteed if... Dampier plays at least 2,100 minutes in the 70 regular season games in the 2009-2010 season in which he plays his most minutes (and if he plays in less than 70 regular season games in the 2009-2010 season, then he must play at least 2,100 minutes for the entire regular season). http://www.shamsports.com/content/pages/data/salaries/notes/mavericks.htm Houston: rights to Mills Portland: Dorsey (under the cap) Brooks, Lowry, Mills (sign mid-season) Dunleavy, Budinger Battier, Ariza Scola, Landry, Hansbrough Andersen, Hayes, Yao, Dampier Ford, Watson, Price Rush, Taylor McGrady, D.Jones Granger, Landry, McRoberts Murphy, Hibbert, S.Jones Kidd, Barea, Beaubois Howard, Terry, Ross Marion, Carroll, Thomas Nowitski, Humphries, Singleton Foster, Gooden, Jawaii Miller, Blake, Bayless Roy, Fernandez Webster, Batum, Cunningham Aldridge, Outlaw, Howard, Dorsey Oden, Przybilla, Pendergraph (hip surgery)
I think you're on to something Worzel, you come up with reasonable scenarios that are good for all sides.
What i think is possible atleast is Hayes and Brooks being moved to Memphis for Iverson. Brooks will be their long term back up point guard while Hayes is the extra body they need on the court. Yes both Brooks and Hayes has 2 years left on their contract not including this season while Iverson is expiring. This trade makes sence considering Adelman is trying to move the ball up and down the court more and this is exactly what Iverson does best. in no, way, shape or form is a long term fix for Memphis while Mayo is their long term fix they play the same position. This trade here can resign Iverson to 12-15 million/ 3 years once Pops/Barry/Cook comes off the books. Then McGrady will get his 16-18 million making less, to sign Scola for 7-8 million both 3 years. Then with the MLE they take a shot at Camby/ 3 years for Yao's back-up. Think about it. No way would Iverson and Mac be looking for more money at the tail ends of their career. Iverson had a hard enough time just trying to sign with a team. While Iverson/Mac/Camby are looking for rings possibly before they retire. No way does Yao/Tracy/Shane/Markus/Allen/Scola go out like this in their career.
You need to move to LA and apply for Mike Dunleavy's job. With the way this is going, you're gonna get it.
