come up with good values we can get for battier since trading him is a nice thing to do consider what he did for houston houston trades battier cook/barry either one houston gets kevin martin porland trades rudy outlaw porland gets battier king trades kevin martin king gets rudy outlaw cook/barry
Might as well merge this thread with the Offseason Trades thread: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=169217 I think it should be stickied.
Kevin Martin has had 2 injury plagued years in a row. Rather keep Shane, and hope he teaches our young role player filled team the correct way to play basketball. If we are going to have a chance to be somewhat competitive next season, it will be with tough defense, toughness, and 100% heart. All qualities that Shane has.
i kno kevin martin has been injured but its not like he tmac and yao like we kno hes gonna go down every yr
The Kings would never trade Martin for that package. And if they would, and Portland was willing cooperate, there should be no excuse why we wouldn't do that deal instantly. I still feel the best deal, all things considered, centers around Shane for Rudy. The Blazers need Shane, and Rudy is the only interesting piece they have worth trading him for outside their "big 3". Besides, Rudy plays behind Roy, a guy who should be getting 40 minutes a night. He's expendable.
Portland is not going to be giving up Fernandez for Battier. End of story. I mean, they might give up Fernandez plus something for Battier plus something better, but even the biggest Battier-loving Portland fans wouldn't swap Rudy straight up for Battier. Here's my Battier proposal: Washington gets Shane Battier, Luis Scola, Kyle Lowry Houston gets Javale McGee, Nick Young, Javaris Crittenton, Mike James, maybe a draft pick
take out luis scola and kyle lowry. just add in aaron brooks. I dont think javale mcgee is worth that much. I love nick young and javaris crittenton though
I think you are wrong my friend and terribly overestimate the value of Fernandez if you think Portland would give him up straight up for Battier! We would be the ones stupid if we did that deal. Anything less than Fernandez/Outlaw for Battier is not good for Houston and I don't think Morey would do it. I like the proposal from another thread where someone said Fernandez/Outlaw/Prybilla for Battier/Cook and/or maybe Dorsey. And we Should Not and hopefully Will Not trade Scola for anything that doesn't include a LeBron/Kobe/Wade/Bosh/Paul or another star of that caliber.
Shane at the deadline for an expiring plus a 2010 first round pick or use Shane to get Gortat once Gortat can be traded.
i wouldnt trade battier. he is way to valuable and we wont get anything good because gms will be trying to low ball us cuz to them it will look like we're having a firesale.
I wouldn't want this deal as structered, but the kings would need another point guard back, so I would maybe send Lowry with Battier and Cook and Houston takes back Outlaw. Now I like this deal.....
hmmm i would like to take back outlaw and his expiring too, i think but im sure the king wants that too
1. I think Kevin Martin is not available, and even if he was, I think he is out of reach with Battier. 2. Where the hell is Porland? Land of the poor?
Yao's never going to be an every night player ever again. At best, he'll share duties with another center.
kevin martin is available for the right price and king has been coveting rudy since draft and plus we could offer more the deal i had was the least houston have to give up we could add bit more to make this interesting to the kings
