Waste of $ They let their only decent inside prescence in Brandon Bass go and now theyre going for a bunch of soft inside players
Lol, Tim Thomas is one of those players that will never win an NBA championship. He's the ultimate dog player who never gives 100% on both ends of the floor. The only time he's ever worth a dime in a game is when he's on fire from 3-point range. Those SSOL Suns really made a lot of not-so-good players rich, huh?
exactly! signed, Antoine Walker Jason Williams Thomas received a larger contract before even signing with the Suns. Thomas is the epitome of "contract year" player. If Dallas does sign him they better sign him much like they did Drew Gooden, a 1 year deal if they want to get any sort of productivity out of Thomas.
I remember that one year with the Suns Tim Thomas was hitting 3s all day. Not bad as a bench player I would say.
done deal. he had a buyout from the Bulls so probably signed for the vets min. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...YF?slug=ap-mavericks-thomas&prov=ap&type=lgns
Yeah, but he got most of his exposure when he was with the Suns. How many people knew who he was when he was in Milwaukee (not that many people even know who he is now), but during that stretch with the Suns, he really shot into the spotlight with that whole hand gesture thing he would do whenever he hit a three. I see this signing along the same lines as the Brent Barry signing last year for Houston....I'm sure Maverick fans are pretty excited right now, but once the actual product hits the court, I'll be surprised if he contributes a whole lot.
Is that the same tim thomas that the rockets couldn't guard? If you watch hoopps u would know his best ball was with the bucks. Say what you will, but the guy hass produced in the playoffs also. When dallas goes kidd, howard, marion, thomas, and dirk, they will overwhelm a lot of teams.
He would probably replace Stackhouse as one of the bench warmers. He could get time but His shooting must be outstanding for him to crack the rotation. He reminds me of Rolando Blackman's last year with the Knick. A designated shooter.
The team looks like the Suns team of 2 to 3 years back. A team with no real legitimate center ( Dampier not included ) but with players that loves to run and fire away in the 3pt area and the perimeter.
