http://sports.ign.com/articles/100/1007123p1.html It also predicts the pats win it all. Some or a lot of its predictions are pretty dumb.
How bad the Texans rated in Madden is the problem. Madden ratings have Always been a joke. Roster updates allows them to fix the ratings as teams who are rated low, blow there initial ratings out of the water.
Alot of guys on our team are rated OVERALL 1 or 2 points below what they should be. Grossman isn't in the game either so our 1 and 2 backups in the game are like in the 50s and 60s.... replacing the lowest one with a Grossman rated around 73 hopefully will boost our rating up a few points. Overall we should be a 81 IMO
Im going to have to disagree. D. Anderson a 53? Schaub a 77? The O-Line is vastly underrated, Kris Brown a 79? Diles a 63? And some parts of the secondary is underrated. But as Ziggy has mentioned before, they revamped/redid their ratings system so superstars are superstars and are seperate from the good/mediocre players. I dont know, we'll see.
I know all about the new ratings system, it's just OVERALL I think as a team we are underated by a few points..... I mean theres a player on the Jets rated a 38 for Christs' sakes. The players above 80+ are extra ordinary talents. David Anderson is far below extra ordinary... but I do agree it'd be nice if he were up to a 59 or 60. Cato June is lower then he should be too.
BTW if anyone wants to join a ONLINE FRANCHISE with SIM players only, sign up here www.360playersclub.com This is a good clean, mature group of players. There will be a random order generated once we get all 32 members signed up to pick the teams they want. You have to keep track of contracts and everything for all your players. Trades, FA pickups... all that good stuff. Also cool, if you have an iPhone there will be an APP you can get to manage your team from it, make/accept trades..... Should be fun! Xbox 360 version FYI
This has no bearing on anything at all. It is a video game. It isn't like John Madden came out and said that the Texans will be 5 and 11.
So this is based on one simulation? What a joke. Everybody knows that on any given simulation, any team can finish first and any team can finish last. I bet Dolphins fans are pissed. They won the division last year and went to the playoffs and this sim has them finishing last in the AFC and tied for last in the whole league.
the guy is a jaguars fan so he is just hating. cant wait for the season to start. very eager to see how our revamped defense will look
the simulation and this post are pretty worthless. who cares about some nerds at IGN running one simulation.
they need to get everyone under contract and make sure they're all happy... fast. otherwise they will be closer to 5-11 than 11-5. This offseason has been a bit of a mess, IMO.
I dont think replacing whoever they listed our backup QBs (Nall?) with grossman will boost their score at all, unless overall score is affected by some backup QB stat to starting QB injury stat ratio.
I hope this new ratings system doesn't ruin the fun of the game and take away from the realism. A team shouldn't win just because they have more "superstars" and not a better all around team. It's not as drastic as the NBA, where having 2 superstars puts you in title contention every year.
While I don't necessarily care about the sim, the ratings in that game are BS. I like to play it, but it isn't fun when my team can't run 90% of the plays successfully. It can't all be me either because if I play with a top team, I usually can win big. On top of that its not indicative of the real Texans. Argh!
