I thought yall were ridiculous to think the suns were still shoe ins for the playoffs, but they did put up a fight, and without amare. Sure they lost shaq and barnes but I think theyre still capable of .500 and at least some sort of contention for #8. Of course this all depends on whether the thunder/clippers pull a trailblazers this season and end up in the top half of seeding.
A lot of people are doing a tmac and picking against the Rockets. Quick Clutch, trade them to jazzfans for throwing our team under the bus.
Nuggets Dallas Spurs Blazers Lakers Warriors Memphis Clippers or Rox No team in the NBA would have a 60win season
as it stands TODAY 1. Spurs (just more solid pick-ups around an all-time great core) 2. Dallas (do they need a traditional center? marion fits them great at PF) 3. Lakers (I would give them #1 if Odom returns) 4. Nuggets (same team more competition) 5. Blazers (I see them taking a small step back, unless Oden decides hes an NBA player) 6. Utah (they are such a feast or famine team, I can't see them losing much ground even without Bozer) 7. Rockets (the sky isn't falling, and this team is notorious for crazy runs in the 2nd half. you just got to believe something great will happen, and this team will be a giant killer come playoff time) 8. Clippers (the worst franchise in the NBA [historicall] had a very solid offseason. they are very balanced top to bottom...their success hinges on BDiddy actually trying this year)
1.Lakers/Spurs 2.Laker/Spurs 3.Denver 4. Portland 5.Rockets (ya i put them here dont underestimate this team plus i think there will be some key injuries on top teams) 6.Mavs (im a hater) 7. Jazz (im definetly a hater) 8.Hornets/Suns (depends who (paul/amare) still there)
Top 5: Lakers (if Odom stays, if not then they lost Odom n Ariza and I dont think Artest alone makes them better than last year if not downgraded) Spurs Mavs Blazers Nuggets
1. Rockets 2. Warriors 3. Kings 4. Clippers 5. Timberwolves 6. New Orleans 7. Grizzlies 8. Suns Now if I take off my rose-coloured glasses and get serious for a minute, 1. Spurs 2. Lakers 3. Blazers 4. Dallas 5. Nuggets 6. Jazz 7. Rockets 8. Thunder
you guys are all WAY overestimating the rockets. in my opinion i think they have zero chance of making the playoffs. i hope im wrong though and yao somehow comes back next season. and tmac makes it back also. if not its just too much to expect when your two max players are out and the rest are roleplayers. hope im wrong i really just dont see it. lakers portland denver spurs mavs jazz suns thunder i think the hornets miss the playoffs also.
Remember, this is based on regular-season record, not my rankings of which teams have the best chance to win the Western Conference: Lakers Blazers Mavericks Spurs Nuggets Jazz Last two spots will be from among the Hornets, Rockets, Suns and Thunder.
1. LAKERS 2. MAVS 3.SPURS 4. NUGGETS 5. BLAZERS 6.ROCKETS (DEPENDING ON WHEN t MAC GETS BACK!) 7. SUNS 8. HORNETS /JAZZ THESE TWO TEAMS HAVE NOT EVEN MADE ANY MOVES EXCEPT SAY THEY WERE GOING TO TRADE CERTAIN PEOPLE. WHICH BRINGS TURMOIL,PLUS THE EFFORT I SAW THOSE TEAMS GIVE IN LAST YEARS PLAYOFF WAS JUST A LOOK OF DEFEAT AND NO COMMITMENT
Thunder over Rocekts?? Rocekts still has a good team without Yao. If Tmac still plays half the good he can, Rockets still has a good team. Scola, Ariza, Battier, Tmac n Brooks with bench Landry, Hayes n Lowry is still a solid team with great coach.
